Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft If the Jets took a CB there, it'd be Chris Houston. We got enough zone cornerbacks. We need someone who can play some man-to-man coverage. You completely missed the boat on the 4-3 DE/ 3-4 OLB tweeners though. Both Anthony Spencer and Lamar Woodley are going in the Top 2 Rounds, probably to a 3-4 team. Personally, If I'm the Jets I'd probably take Spencer at 37. Just Best Player Available IMO.

Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft In my mock i switched Branch and Thomas and Vikings do not need a DE at all, they alreadyy spent 2 first rd picks on them in the past 2 years i think

He just can't pass rush worth two shits. Erasmus was pretty good in his rookie year.. you can't call him a bust just because he got injured. I'm starting to think it's a bad idea for the vikes to get a DE. Erasmus will be coming off of the injury.. we'd probably be better suited picking up a pass rush specialist in free agency than waste our 7th pick on something that isn't as big of a need as wide receiver.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft Receiver's a bigger need, its just unlikely that they'll be looking there that high. I don't think Childress really wants a first round WR at all.

Vikes sucked at pass defense and we all know a good pass rush beats good coverage.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft I'm just saying.. there are a bunch of good DE's in free agency that could come in and start at DE while there aren't a lot of good FA WR's. People act like Childress is stupid and won't draft a wide receiver no matter what. Where did people get that misconsption? Where did childress say that he will never draft a receiver in the first round? I seem to clearly remember childress and spielman saying that they will draft the best player available to them regardless of position. The vikings will do one of three things.Trade up for Calvin Johnson or Joe ThomasTrade down for Dwyane Jarrett.Pick BPA. (Gaines Adams, Jamaal Anderson, Calvin Johnson, Brady Quinn, Jamarcus Russell, or Joe Thomas)

And Spencer got to our 2nd I think he would have slipped a bit, but not that much.

That's because I updated the 1st round just now without looking at the 2nd round. If the Browns don't get Bush in the 2nd round, who would they take? OL?But you know what? Getting two RB's might be a waste because they have many other needs, but having both Peterson and Bush would be insane. Peterson on 1st and 2nd downs, Bush on 3rd downs, Bush on short yardage, Peterson and Bush in the splitbacks formation, etc.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft For the 2nd round Browns, they could take Daymeion Hughes or Anthony Spencer. Can never have too few good cornerbacks and Spencer is a hybrid DE/OLB that would be a nice addition with Wimbley and Jackson to form a great future at LB.Or the first round, Jamaal Anderson, Alan Branch are solid options. The Browns can't use aging defensive players from the Patriots forever.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft Not bad..Rouse, Harrell and Abiramiri can all be higher, and I'm not sure the Jags will want Smith in the second..And I can nitpick and say certain teams would take other players over the ones you have, but I don't have any major problems with that. Not sure about Kalil to the Bills or Olsen to the Bears, though. Bills don't need a center and the Bears can definitely afford to wait on a TE, especially with bigger needs like S, OL, WR, CB, and possibly both OLB and DT.

I used Madden to decide that one, lol. They needed every offensive line position. No one agrees with the Greg Olsen pick except for me and Rex Grossman. Just watch him at the combine. He could actually play WR if you wanted him to. I love Greg Olsen.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft It's not a knock against Olsen, the Bears just have bigger needs and can draft someone later to develop behind Clark for a year.
Re: The Punisher's Mock Draft I have no problem with the Pats drafting Dwayne Bowe, I was actually a big supporter of Bowe when no one was fond of him earlier this season. However, his hands are a major concern and that makes me want to stay away from him. He's fast, physical, great blocker and route runner but the hands are very inconsistent. The WR I want the Pats to draft is Jarrett (who won't fall), but more realisticly Paul Williams from Fresno State. I would love to grab this guy in round 2. Belichick is very close friends with Fresno State coach Pat Hill so Williams could be a solid pick. Although he had a bad senior season he does have upside. Personally I'd wait to draft another WR, Reche Caldwell, Jabar Gaffney, and Chad Jackson aren't that bad. Speaking of Jackson, he's going to have a huge season this year.
