Mavs will rest Luka, Porzingis and DFS against Utah on a 1st game of a b2b, no word on if they play against us, but i've read that the Mavs want to keep us out of the Playoffs, which means they would play on tuesday

Is that all? Because winning has been so easy this far.

Yeah doesn't make sense? Most west teams want the Lakers to work in the first round. The word is the Blazers will at least make them work for a win in the first round.

Blazers probably need to win out to make playin. They would make 8th seed if they win out and Memphis loses to Boston or Milwaukee.

With one loss the Blazers need both SAS and PHX to lose a game. Or Memphis loses both and one of PHX or SAS lose.

PHX need to win out and have Portland lose one or Memphis lose both.

SAS need to win out and have Portland lose one or Memphis lose both and PHX lose one. Or Portland lose one and Memphis lose both if Phoenix wins out.

We have to get both these remaining games. We still control our destiny.

The clippers loss was so devastating because now the team basically has to win tonight as they did, but then likely win both Dallas and Brooklyn game, then both playin games.

So the Blazers have to win 5 straight games. They havent done that all season. Only time they've won more than a pair of games is a 3 game streak and two 4 game streaks.

We will still be higher than the Spurs if we win one and they win out. So one win essentially knocks the Spurs out. If Phoenix wins out they will jump us though, so we need the Suns to lose one.

Incorrect, the Spurs would have 33-38 a .465 win percentage if they win out but PDX would have 34-40 a .459 percentage with one loss, below SAS.

Just gotta hope MEM and SAS lose one at least and give us a bit of leeway. I want 8th. The winning five in a row thing is brutal.

Ed O deleted his post saying he didn't look at numbers but I was wrong. It's pretty easy to add two games to the current standings and see the records...

PDX currently has two more wins and one more loss than spurs.

If we win one and they win two we'd have one more win but two more losses and a worse record.

I think if they're resting them tomorrow and that results in a Jazz win, then they will rest them against us. There is no logical reason why they would want to keep us out of the playoffs. Where did you read that?

Phoenix plays OKC tomorrow and Philly Tuesday. If they lose either we can elimate them from playin with a win over Dallas.

San Antonio plays Houston Tuesday. If they lose we can elimate them from playin with a win over Dallas.

If they beat the Jazz tomorrow they are one game behind the Jazz so if the Jazz lost their last game and Dallas won theirs, Dallas would be the 6 seed and not have to play the Clippers. So my thought was that if they are giving up on that, they will likely rest there guys a lot between now and when they play the Clippers.
