won't the NASCAR golfers just drive over the German Soccer players and declare victory?

so where is the breaking point?

stop living because of what iff’s?

we should have never continueD with sports after magic johnson. There is a risk others could get hiv.
Players bleed all the time in games.

at a certain point we have to accept living life means taking risks.
If the players want to take that risk, I'm fine with it.
There is no stopping the spread of this. Its obvious its sweeping the world. So let it sweep.
The longer we suppress The build up of herd immunity, the longer it lingers.

those who don't can continue living in a bubble in their home.

What if a significant minority of players are really NOT fine with it but are forced into it? Will that perturb you a little?

    1. New Zealand and Taiwan have news for you.
    2. Why don't you go serve on the front lines in a hospital and "let it sweep" you there?

Now do this argument with Ebola.

Again, this ignores people on the front lines who literally cannot. What forcing people back too soon does is potentially flood the healthcare systems and cause more death. But I guess that's worth it so long as we don't have to watch old NBA games on YouTube?

I didn't say open everything up 100%, so forgive me if that's how it sounded. I was speaking of the NBA specifically.. well and sports, I suppose. Each entity should be assessed differently.

However I didn't think of the fact that maybe not all players will want to play. I just assumed they would. I would say it should be a fairly universal approval.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I think you missed the point--it's not about banning sports, it's about banning crowds at the sporting events. Sports can theoretically continue and can be watched on TV.

This is where I'm at with it until there's a vaccine and the second wave has passed which is predicted to hit hard in Sept.....I think it's completely unnecessary to put profits before public safety..people who want to let it wash over them should be asked to guard prison populations or do janitorial work for hospitals and walk the walk.. Taiwan and New Zealand are shaking their heads and asking...WTF is wrong with people?

Will Hurd and Calabro now talk in golf whispers during the game broadcast building tension in empty arenas?

I've listened to Idaho Stampede games before on the radio and you hear the echo of squeaking shoes and bouncing balls pretty much with the occasional..."over here!"
