I'm always an underdog guy so I'm going with the Lions. Same name and color of trash franchise Detroit and they have the smallest stadium. Go Lions. A great underdog story.
I will not be watching sports again until fans are back. I totally acknowledge that it will be a very long time.
A lot. Can you imagine Dame's buzzer beaters with no one there? Or battling for Home Court Advantage only to not have one. Fans add intensity and emotion to sports, momentum too.
I can respect that. But as somebody who grew up playing street ball at the parks....... we just played. Screw who was watching. Of course more noise makes it that much more exciting, but I would never NOT watch something just because the seats were empty.
Playing on the streets is much different than watching professionals though. I just don't believe sports will be anywhere close to the same or have the same highs and lows that make cheering for your favorite franchises the same without fans. Can you imagine a Blazer team in a game 6 or 7 of a playoff series at the Rose Garden (sorry moda), with no home-court advantage at all?
Yes but him hitting the buzzer beater to win the chsmpuonship with no fans is ok by me. Also- they’ll find ways to involve fans, maybe even piping in our noise from home. Plus you have the excitement of our players cheering for each other. I bet you’ll watch.
I'm not stopping anyone else from watching, and yeah I'd be happy if they won a championship. I just won't be watching until fans are back, even if it's like 25% that's better than an empty arena.
Some of the NBA games televised have hardly ant fans in the aren's, Atlanta, the Wiz. If they game is piped into the living rooms the ratings would be extremely high.
