@THE HCP I got a couple of questions. I've sat courtside before and you can hear players swear during games. How much do you guys hear it during a regular broadcast? Seems like it isn't picked up over the broadcaster's mics. How long is the broadcast delay to when it reaches our homes? Is there anyway to pump in the crowd noise, maybe from something like the Blazer's app, into the arena in realtime?
There isn’t much delay, maybe 5 seconds. As far as hearing things on the court, we have probably 25 mics or that feed back to the truck and are mixed. Every now and then, depending on which mics the mixer has potted up, you can catch some F-Bombs. Doesn’t happen as much as you would think it would though. With no fans and music though, it could get interesting!
@THE HCP Can you guys work without the delay? Seeing all these musicians playing together from their individual homes, just wondering if realtime fan cheers could be pumped into an arena. A 5 second delay of DEFENSE or Let's Go Blazers would suck balls.
Apparently, Silver said he wants Best of 7 for all 4 playoff rounds but that difficult decisions will have to be made about Western Conference race for 8th seed.
