McMillan-gate? There have been theories that Roy shut himself down to get off the team, still get paid and go to another team. Portland's incompetent training and medical staff probably were easy enough to con in this regard. If you can't tell, the organization is run pretty horrendously.
Are the believers in those credible theories the same people who think the organization is run horrendously?
That's what I keep thinking, but then I think about the possiblity of a different coach being able to use him differently. It was virtually impossible to reinvent Brandon's role for Portland, but with a fresh start, who knows.
If anyone can reinvent his game, it's a superstar set in his ways who's never played any other way, and who was amnestied due to having no knee cartilage left.
I feel bad saying this, but I hope Roy's comeback doesnt work out and that he finally realizes his knees are shot. I dont want to deal with everything that will come with seeing him succeed for another team.
Zach Lowe @ZachLowe_SI Have spoken to three sports medicine experts who say platelet-rich-plasma therapy would have little/no value to Brandon Roy.
Brandon Roy == Brett Favre? After debating retirement off and on for two seasons, will Roy comeback, play great for one season and help lead Minnesota into the play-offs - only to have his career finally ended for good due to injuries the following year? That's exactly what Favre did. BNM
You know how Seattle feels, watching Durant in the Finals? That's how Portland will feel, watching Roy duel LeBron a year from now.
