well seeing as 90% of all 2nd round picks don't make it to the league I wouldn't put too much thought into these players actually making an impact..

Have u seen these kids play?! Badiane is such an amazing player, I'm suprised he wasnt a first rounder. He put up 27 and 9 coming off the bench. No, not 9 rebounds, 9 blocks. No its not bcus he's playing in a league with no talent, this kids got skill. Fred Hoiberg was the 58th pick in the draft, maybe less, but it was in the 50s. Fred Hoiberg was such an amazing ROLE PLAYER for the Twolves. I'm not sayin theyll become Hakeem and Steve Nash, but when u got Lenny Wilkens commenting on how good you play, thats more than something. That line-up was just to show all the talent we have, they dont deserve to start. Badiane wont have 9 blocks in the NBA, or 27 points every nigt off the bench, but he can give us 10 pts, and 3 blocks. Spanoulis has already played against NBA players, and I think assists are something that every PG should have, its just good that he likes to pass first than shoot. Dampier wants 10 mill a year right? Thats insanity, we should look at a Tyson Chandler esque palyer. I think Juwan Howard is fine as long as he can rebound and get a few points. He's not known as a blocker, so I think we need someoen who can come from the weakside, or hold his defender out of position so Yao can come from the weakside.<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">But paying that much for bench scoring... is not good for the future of the franchise. His contract will expire in 2020, if the Rockets could trade him for someone with a shorter contract, they can free up cap space to sign a player who will be able to do more than just score (ie. rebound and defend)</div> Yeah i agree, we need some guys that will come in and give us some rebounds, sorta what we have in Boki, once he gets consistent, he'll be a good asset. I think this year, he'll have his breakout year. Taylor and Boki looks pretty good. If we got Lue/Gaines/Olie coming off the bench, they can chip in some points too. On another note, if Francis goes to Orlando, are they gonna put him at the 2? Or put Jameer at the 2? Bench one of them? I think it might be a 3 team deal, bcus Francis already tole Weisbrod that he wanted to start. The Magic look like a good team, If all their trades and if their draft picks do well in the NBA. I was supised that Duhon went at 38.. Celtics coulda picked him up with the 24th or 25th picks..

don't get me wrong, i'd love to see them develop into good nba players.. and seeing as they're 2nd rounders, they usually work harder than the lottery picks because they have to work for their contract. 5 boards and 2 blocks a game would be excellent coming off the bench.

I'm pretty sure if Orlando keeps Francis, he'll play the point. They picked Jameer at #20 for a reason. He might surprise people but I don't think 19 GM's passed on him knowing he would be starter material. If Grant Hill miraculously comes back, that's going to be a killer backcourt with Hill, Mobley, Francis.. Especially with Hill handling the ball and Francis playing off the ball.
