Texas A&M holds of Tennessee in 2 OT thanks to Trevor Knight's TD run

No. 8 Texas A&M outlasted ninth-ranked Tennessee 45-38 in double overtime Saturday to improve to 6-0 for the first time since 1994 after starting the previous two seasons with five wins before losing.

Cornelius' late TD run lifts Arkansas past Ole Miss 34-30

Bret Bielema did his best to remind anyone who was listening throughout the week that Arkansas' only losses this season were to No. 1 Alabama and No. 6 Texas A&M.

That included the No. 22 Razorbacks, who clearly took their coach's message to heart in a 34-30 win over No. 12 Mississippi on Saturday night.

No. 18 Florida gets 2 defensive scores, beats Missouri 40-14

When Steve Spurrier spoke to No. 18 Florida earlier in the week, he talked about how one player can affect the entire team.

The message stuck with Jalen Tabor, who wanted to be -- and was -- that guy Saturday.

Tabor and Quincy Wilson returned interceptions for touchdowns, helping No. 18 Florida beat Missouri 40-14 and move into first place in the Southeastern Conference's Eastern Division.

No. 21 Auburn runs over No. 17 Arkansas, 56-3

From the first snap, Auburn's running game couldn't be stopped.

The result was an unexpected rout that made the Tigers look like SEC contenders and left Arkansas coach Bret Bielema searching for answers.

Eli Stove broke free for a 78-yard touchdown run on Auburn's first play, giving the No. 21 Tigers momentum they never lost in a dominant 56-3 victory over No. 17 Arkansas on Saturday night.

Fournette sets LSU record, Tigers top Ole Miss, 38-21

LSU running back Leonard Fournette broke something all right -- and it wasn't the left ankle that had sidelined him for nearly a month.

Fournette rewrote LSU's single-game rushing record on just his first eight carries -- scoring three touchdowns of 59 yards or more -- and the 25th-ranked Tigers beat No. 23 Mississippi 38-21 on Saturday night.

Kirk returns 2 punts for TDs, No. 9 Texas A&M rolls

Christian Kirk and Texas A&M's punt return unit had been a bit discouraged that they had been unable to make a big play this season.

That feeling changed quickly Saturday night.

Kirk returned two punts for touchdowns and had a scoring catch to help No. 9 Texas A&M rout New Mexico State 52-10 .

No. 14 Florida, D stuff Georgia 24-10 in 'Cocktail Party'

Raise a glass to Florida's defense. Maybe even the whole bottle.

The 14th-ranked Gators used a dominant defensive effort -- maybe their best of the season -- to dismantle Georgia 24-10 on Saturday.

Pettway runs wild, No. 15 Auburn beats Mississippi 40-29

Kamryn Pettway smashed his 240-pound body into Mississippi's defensive line and then disappeared for a moment behind a pile of bodies. A second later, he appeared a few yards downfield, accelerated and was gone for 41 yards and a touchdown.

Auburn's broad-shouldered sophomore was well on his way to a career night.

No. 15 Auburn beat Mississippi 40-29 on Saturday, pulling away in the fourth quarter after a tight game for most of the night. Pettway finished with a career-high 236 yards rushing, beating his previous high of 192 set last week against Arkansas.

SC Stunner: South Carolina tops No. 18 Tennessee 24-21

Tennessee coach Butch Jones promised his team and his coaches would "own" their latest loss to South Carolina.

That might be as difficult a task as trying to end the suddenly spiraling Vols' three-game losing streak.

Jones ticked off a grocery list of mistakes -- missed tackles, too many penalties, three turnovers -- that led to the Gamecocks' stunning 24-21 victory over No. 18 Tennessee on Saturday night.

Mississippi State upsets No. 4 Texas A&M

Mississippi State's Nick Fitzgerald was hit a few yards shy of the end zone as one, two and then three Texas A&M defenders tried to pull him to the ground.

But the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder kept stumbling and straining, dragging the Aggies along with him as he finally fell into the end zone for a crucial touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

The sophomore quarterback -- and these Bulldogs -- weren't going to be denied in a 35-28 upset win over Texas A&M (No. 4 CFP, No. 7 AP) on Saturday.

Williams leads Arkansas to first SEC win over No. 11 Gators

    - Losing is one thing for Arkansas coach Bret Bielema.

Losing in the fashion the Razorbacks did two weeks ago to No. 11 Auburn -- allowing 543 yards rushing in a 56-3 loss -- is another completely.

No. 9 Auburn survives for 23-16 win over Vanderbilt

Sean White gave Auburn fans something to cheer about when he trotted onto the field, then Josh Holsey helped make sure they had something even bigger to celebrate.

The ninth-ranked Tigers survived a 23-16 scare Saturday against Vanderbilt that left them with a clear path to the Southeastern Conference championship game, as long as they keep winning.

Patterson wows in debut, Ole Miss rallies to beat A&M 29-28

When Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze saw Shea Patterson win a state championship as a high school junior he walked away with a "man crush" on the quarterback.

Safe to say he's still crushing on Patterson after his performance Saturday night.

Patterson threw for 338 yards and two touchdowns in his debut and Gary Wunderlich made a 39-yard field goal with 37 seconds left to lift Mississippi past No. 8 Texas A&M, 29-28 on Saturday night.

Guice, Fournette help No. 24 LSU run over No. 25 Arkansas, 38-10

Admittedly, Derrius Guice doesn't know all that much about the Golden Boot -- since LSU hasn't held the trophy after losses to Arkansas in each of the last two seasons.

The Tigers sophomore did his part to make sure he'd have a chance to get acquainted with the 200-pound hardware on Saturday night, rushing for a career-high 252 yards in No. 19 LSU's 38-10 win over the Razorbacks.

No. 23 Florida gets a tense 16-10 win against No. 16 LSU

Florida coach Jim McElwain watched his Gators overcome injuries, an extra road game and repeated adversity in the shadow of their own goal line. That should be valuable experience for a feisty football team that'll face long odds again when it meets top-ranked Alabama in the Southeastern Conference championship game in a couple weeks.

Florida's defense stuffed LSU's Derrius Guice on a do-or-die run from the 1-yard line in the final seconds, and the No. 23 Gators held on for a tension-filled 16-10 victory that clinched the Southeastern Conference East Division on Saturday.

No. 25 Texas A&M defeats USTA 23-10 behind Hubenak, Garrett

When the GPS Myles Garrett wears during practice let Kevin Sumlin know he was running almost 22 mph on Wednesday, Texas A&M's coach knew his star defensive end was finally healthy.

On Saturday Garrett showed that what he can do when he isn't ailing, finishing with a career-high 4 1/2 sacks to help No. 25 Texas A&M get back on track with a 23-10 win over UTSA.

Dobbs has huge home finale as No. 19 Vols beat Missouri 63-37

Tennessee quarterback Joshua Dobbs made his final home game one to remember.

Not even having his team knocked out of the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division race could ruin his day.

Dobbs threw three touchdown passes and ran for two more scores -- including a career-long 70-yarder -- as Tennessee won a 63-37 shootout with Missouri on Saturday.

Kentucky beats No. 11 Louisville 41-38 after Jackson fumble

Lamar Jackson lost the ball, No. 11 Louisville lost the game to rival Kentucky and it remains to be seen how it all will impact the Heisman Trophy race that once belonged to the Cardinals quarterback just a few weeks ago.

The Louisville sophomore had a record-setting day on Saturday, even striking a spontaneous Heisman pose following a game-tying touchdown midway through the fourth quarter before all that jubilation turned to disappointment after a 41-38 loss. Jackson didn't want to talk about the Heisman after the game, instead focusing on his team was trying to digest another mistake-filled loss.
