Mayfield snubbed as No. 3 Sooners roll 41-3 win over Kansas

On his way to the bus, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield stopped outside the visiting locker room at Memorial Stadium to sign a handful of autographs for wide-eyed kids who clearly idolize him.

Their opinions of him hadn't changed over the course of a blowout win over Kansas.

Those of many other people probably did.

After getting dissed by the Jayhawks' captains during the coin toss, the Heisman Trophy front-runner spent the rest of an otherwise ho-hum 41-3 victory trading insults with them. At one point he told Kansas fans behind the bench to "go cheer on basketball," and after throwing his third and final touchdown pass, video cameras caught him grabbing his crotch and cursing at the opposing sideline

Chubb, Michel lead No. 7 Georgia to 42-13 win over Kentucky

For Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, it was a most appropriate way to finish up between the hedges.

In the final home game of their stellar careers, Chubb and Michel combined for five touchdowns to lead a dominant running game and No. 7 Georgia bounced back impressively from its first loss of the season, wearing down Kentucky for a 42-13 victory Saturday.

Fitzgerald helps No. 17 Mississippi State survive Arkansas

Nick Fitzgerald has established himself as nothing short of one of the Southeastern Conference's top quarterbacks, if not the best, in his two seasons at the starter at Mississippi State.

The Bulldogs junior added another moment to his growing legacy in Starkville on Saturday, rallying No. 17 Mississippi State (8-3, 4-3) for a 28-21 win over reeling Arkansas.

Guice, Williams help No. 21 LSU top Tennessee 30-10

LSU avoided committing any turnovers while playing in a storm.

    Tennessee didn't.

That discrepancy assured that the 21st-ranked Tigers would win for the fifth time in the last six games while Tennessee remained winless in Southeastern Conference competition. Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams combined to run for 165 yards and three touchdowns Saturday and LSU beat Tennessee 30-10 in a steady downpour.

Mississippi stuns No. 16 Mississippi State 31-28 in Egg Bowl

A.J. Brown thought the ball was overthrown, but kept sprinting and stuck his arms out as far as they would go. The Mississippi receiver was astonished when the ball stuck right in his hands and he ran for a crucial touchdown.

After a year of bad news, things were finally going the Rebels' way in the Egg Bowl.

Ole Miss stunned No. 16 Mississippi State 31-28 on Thursday night, jumping out to a big second-half lead and holding on in the final minutes to win the rivalry game for the fourth time in six seasons.

No. 6 Auburn tops No. 1 Alabama 26-14, earns SEC title shot

Auburn fans blanketed the field from end zone to end zone just like the last time they got to celebrate a stirring Iron Bowl win.

This time, Jarrett Stidham, Kerryon Johnson and No. 6 Auburn didn't need a miraculous final play to unleash the celebration. It was a build up to the crescendo as the Tigers beat top-ranked Alabama in a dominating 26-14 win Saturday. Auburn earned a berth in next week's Southeastern Conference title game against No. 7 Georgia.

Etling's big night helps No. 19 LSU beat Texas A&M 45-21

LSU coach Ed Orgeron stood outside the Tigers' locker room praising his team's "remarkable" turnaround from a stunning upset two months ago. Across Death Valley, Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin fielded questions about whether his tenure with the Aggies is over.

Danny Etling passed 347 yards and three touchdowns and No. 19 LSU beat Texas A&M 45-21 on Saturday night in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Tennessee backs out of Greg Schiano hiring after campus protests

Tennessee has backed out of a memorandum of understanding with Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano to be the Volunteers' next football coach, sources told ESPN's Chris Low.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by both parties Sunday in Columbus, Ohio. Tennessee had planned to introduce Schiano at a news conference Sunday night.

But when news broke that Tennessee was close to finalizing a deal with Schiano earlier Sunday, there was public outcry among Tennessee fans, with people citing his alleged connection to the Jerry Sandusky era at Penn State.

Mississippi State's Dan Mullen becomes new coach at Florida

After nine seasons at Mississippi State, Dan Mullen is heading to Florida to be its next football coach.

Mullen's 69-46 record for the Bulldogs makes him the second-winningest coach in school history, behind only Jackie Sherrill. The Bulldogs are 8-4 (4-4 SEC) this season.

Texas A&M to offer Florida State's Jimbo Fisher lucrative deal

Texas A&M fired football coach Kevin Sumlin on Sunday after six seasons and a 51-26 overall record.

Assistant coach Jeff Banks will serve as interim head coach, but sources told ESPN that Texas A&M will pursue Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher with a lucrative offer.

Sumlin's firing came less than 24 hours after the Aggies ended their regular season with a 45-21 loss to LSU to drop to 7-5 overall.

Matt Luke named permanent head coach after Ole Miss finishes 6-6

Ole Miss officials removed the interim tag from football coach Matt Luke, who guided the Rebels to a 6-6 record this past season, after taking over the job when former coach Hugh Freeze abruptly resigned in July.

The university announced the promotion Sunday night. Rebels athletics director Ross Bjork couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

The Rebels upset No. 14 Mississippi State 31-28 in the Egg Bowl on Thursday night. Ole Miss self-imposed a postseason ban for this season in February, after receiving a revised NCAA notice of allegations.

Georgia gets first SEC title since '05, likely spot in CFP with revenge win vs. Auburn

Kirby Smart took the customary drenching with an ear-to-ear smile. He bounced up and down on the sideline with as much exuberance as his players. And when the coach waved his visor to the red-and-black faithful, he knew better than anyone how much this meant after a long, long wait.

Rebounding emphatically from a blowout loss at Auburn just three weeks ago, the No. 6 Bulldogs doled out a whipping of their own on Saturday. And what a time for some revenge, with the Southeastern Conference championship and almost surely a trip to the College Football Playoff going to the winner.

Roquan Smith gobbled up two crucial turnovers, freshman Jake Fromm threw a pair of touchdown passes and Georgia cruised to a 28-7 victory over the No. 4 Tigers in an SEC title game that was a total reversal of the last meeting between the teams.
