Tennessee Volunteers head coach Jeremy Pruitt benched starting quarterback Jarrett Guarantano with 10:33 left in the second quarter against Kentucky on Saturday. Redshirt sophomore J.T. Shrout came in to replace Guarantano.

LSU quarterback TJ Finley (11) throws against South Carolina during the first half of an NCAA
college football game in Baton Rouge, La., Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020

LSU freshman TJ Finley was a picture of poise and decisiveness, unfazed by the prospect of making his college debut or anything South Carolina’s defense tried to do.

Finley passed for 265 yards and two touchdowns, Trey Palmer scored on a 93-yard, sideline-to-sideline kickoff return and the Tigers defeated the Gamecocks 52-24 on Saturday night.

No. 5 Georgia earns 11th consecutive win over Kentucky 14-3

Georgia running back Zamir White (3) scores a touchdown during the second
half of an NCAA college football game against Kentucky, Oct. 31, 2020, in
    Lexington, Ky.

Zamir White and fifth-ranked Georgia ran with relative ease to start each half, reaching the end zone both times.

Other moments were more of a scrum for the Bulldogs, who emerged dinged but glad to have won again by making those limited chances stand up against Kentucky.

White rushed for a career-high 131 yards and a touchdown, Stetson Bennett also ran for a score and Georgia beat the Wildcats 14-3 on Saturday for its 11th straight win in the series.

Texas A&M put on a performance worthy of a College Football Playoff contender. The seventh-ranked Aggies don’t plan on stopping, either.

Mississippi State ekes past short-handed Vanderbilt 24-17

Vanderbilt running back Rocko Griffin (9) takes a handoff from Vanderbilt
quarterback Ken Seals (8) during the first half of an NCAA college football game
against Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020.

First-year Mississippi State coach Mike Leach says he tried to inspire his team this week by showing them footage of Hall-of-Fame NFL safety Ed Reed.

On some level it must’ve worked, especially on defense.

While quarterback Will Rogers threw for only 226 yards and a touchdown and the Air Raid offense struggled, the Mississippi State defense combined for five turnovers and the team narrowly eked out a 24-17 victory over visiting Vanderbilt on Saturday.
