No. 20 Ole Miss football cruises by Austin Peay, 54-17, improves to 2-0

The 20th-ranked Ole Miss Rebels improved to 2-0 on the young season, defeating the visiting Austin Peay Governors, 54-17. Lane Kiffin and the Rebels did it on a short week and just a few practices, but the offense was lights out and the defense turned in yet another impressive performance to keep Ole Miss in the win column after two weeks.

Arkansas manhandles No. 15 Texas, 40-21, crowd rushes field

Texas hasn't considered Arkansas to be a rival for a long time. Judging by the goal posts coming down Saturday night and with the Longhorns set to join the Southeastern Conference soon, that won't last.

Arkansas ran for 333 yards, held Texas to 256 yards of total offense and the Razorbacks beat their former Southwest Conference nemesis 40-21 on Saturday night. The ninth-largest crowd in Arkansas history, 74,531 strong, was jubliant all night and many of them stormed the field afterward, celebrating their team's first win over Texas in Fayetteville since 1981.

In Alabama loss, Florida football knows moral victories aren't enough

For three hours inside a packed Swamp, over 90,000 fans roared so loud and stomped so hard they became a force in the game unfolding between Alabama and Florida, and it truly felt like old times -- back when the Gators were the dominant team in the SEC.

Though it might be hard to remember because Alabama has had a vice grip on the league over the past decade, Florida dominated the 1990s and mid-2000s, and crowds inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium regularly caused mayhem for opponents. Florida won 30 straight home games under Steve Spurrier, not to mention five SEC championships. Even when the Gators were underdogs, like they were on Saturday, they won those games too.

Daniels plays quarter as No. 2 Georgia dominates Vandy 62-0

Georgia coach Kirby Smart spent the week talking about Mike Tyson, pushing his Bulldogs to start fast and play up to the standard he wants this season.

    His Bulldogs did just that.

JT Daniels threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns playing only the first quarter as No. 2 Georgia dominated Vanderbilt 62-0 Saturday in the Bulldogs' biggest win in a series that started in 1893.

Emory Jones comes up big, No. 11 Gators rout Tennessee again

Emory Jones did something no Florida quarterback has done since Tim Tebow. With backup Anthony Richardson cleared to return next week, Jones might have a tough time accomplishing the feat again.

Jones had two touchdown passes to go with a career-high 144 yards rushing, leading the 11th-ranked Gators to a 38-14 victory over Tennessee on Saturday night and extending nearly two decades of dominance in the series.

White scores 3 TDs, No. 2 Georgia dominates No. 8 Hogs 37-0

Georgia's determination to win its top-10 matchup against Arkansas on the ground had nothing to do with which quarterback started for the Bulldogs.

Instead, it was all about taking what the Arkansas defense gave Georgia — and the Bulldogs just kept taking and taking. And that made it even easier for the Georgia defense to dominate.

Zamir White rushed for two touchdowns and recovered a blocked punt for another score, and No. 2 Georgia pounded No. 8 Arkansas 37-0 on Saturday in the Bulldogs' second consecutive shutout.

Kentucky rallies past No. 10 Florida 20-13 in SEC showdown

On the verge of falling further behind No. 10 Florida, Kentucky quickly swung momentum with several gut-check plays and held on for a memorable victory.

Not to mention, an important one for a Wildcats team with expectations of contending.

Trevin Wallace returned a blocked field goal 76 yards for the go-ahead touchdown late in the third quarter, Chris Rodriguez Jr. had a 9-yard scoring run early in the fourth and Kentucky mad

Nix leads No. 22 Auburn to 1st win at LSU since '99, 24-19

Bo Nix ducked, dodged and danced away from pressure until he wore LSU out and left the field celebrating Auburn's first triumph in Death Valley in more than two decades.

Nix passed for a touchdown and ran for a score and Jarquez Hunter scored on a 1-yard run with 3:11 to give No. 22 Auburn its first lead in a 24-19 victory over LSU on Saturday night.

Bennett, No. 2 Georgia romp over No. 18 Auburn 34-10

Stetson Bennett and No. 2 Georgia's defense were more than enough to take care of Auburn yet again.

Bennett passed for 231 yards and two touchdowns and led the Bulldogs past No. 18 Auburn for the second straight year in a 34-10 victory Saturday even if the defense did allow an opponent to reach the end zone for a change.

Texas A&M beats No. 1 Alabama 41-38 on last-play field goal

During a speaking engagement this spring Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher used colorful language to proclaim his team would beat Alabama during coach Nick Saban's career.

He fulfilled that promise in his first try since that vow Saturday night, handing the defending national champions their first loss since 2019 in a thrilling upset.

"Our team beat a really good football team ... and that's what's important to me," Fisher said.

Seth Small made a 28-yard field goal as time expired and Texas A&M stunned top-ranked Alabama 41-38 to end the Crimson Tide's winning streak at 19 games

Levis accounts for 5 TDs, No. 16 Kentucky routs LSU 42-21

Will Levis' short touchdown passes stood out because his throwing touch has been a work in progress.

The gutsy Kentucky quarterback continued to show how he can take and give hits rushing the ball, spinning free from several tackles during one run before carrying a few LSU defenders a few extra yards for a highlight-worthy clip. Both impressive skills helped the No. 16 Wildcats earn their most remarkable victory this season.

Levis threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more scores and Kentucky dominated LSU throughout in a 42-21 blowout Saturday night.

Nailor catches 3 TDs, No. 11 Michigan State tops Rutgers

After turning the ball over seven times in a loss to Rutgers last year, No. 11 Michigan State turned to the the big-play approach with its new cast of players. It worked to perfection.

Jalen Nailor caught touchdown passes of 63, 63 and 65 yards from Payton Thorne and transfer Kenneth Walker scored on a school-record 94-yard run as the Spartans remained unbeaten with a 31-13 victory over the reeling Scarlet Knights on Saturday.
