Jones' career day helps No. 20 Florida blank Vanderbilt 42-0

Florida quarterback Emory Jones has unwaveringly supported backup Anthony Richardson all season. He eagerly coached Richardson from the sideline. He enthusiastically cheered for Richardson after every big play. He openly pulled for Richardson's return from a strained right hamstring.

Now, though, it's time for Jones to bask in the spotligh

Jones had a career-high four touchdowns passes, potentially quieting calls for Richardson to play more, and No. 20 Florida routed woeful Vanderbilt 42-0 Saturday.

Bennett, Bowers, D lead No. 1 Georgia past Kentucky, 30-13

    The final seconds were meaningless.

    Except to the Georgia defense.

For the first time all season, the fearsome Bulldogs gave up two touchdowns in a game Saturday. It didn't really matter as they romped to another victory — their first as the nation's new No. 1 team — with a 30-13 triumph over No. 11 Kentucky.

No. 21 Texas A&M runs over Missouri, 35-14

Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher warned his team all week that it couldn't afford a letdown after its upset of top-ranked Alabama. His message got through, as the 21st-ranked Aggies buried Missouri early in a 35-14 victory Saturday.

    Davis-Price, LSU stun turnover-prone No. 20 Florida, 49-42

LSU running back Tyrion Davis-Price and the Tiger's offensive line apparently have figured something out.

That could improve LSU's prospects for the balance of what has been a turbulent season.

Davis-Price rushed for an LSU-record 287 yards and three touchdowns, and the Tigers' banged-up defense came up with four interceptions in a 49-42 victory over No. 20 Florida on Saturday.

Bo Nix leads Auburn to 38-23 upset of No. 17 Arkansas

Three plays were all it took for Auburn.

Strip-sack score. Fourth-down stop. Long touchdown pass.

The Tigers turned a three-point deficit into an 11-point lead in the span of 3:03 and staved off Arkansas' attempted comeback to upset the No. 17 Razorbacks 38-23 on Saturday.

Corral leads No. 12 Mississippi over Orgeron, LSU 31-17

Lane Kiffin is not ready to proclaim No. 12 Mississippi as an elite team. Not yet, anyway.

“We’re good, but not great. But we’re close,” the coach said after the Rebels defeated LSU 31-17 Saturday with 31 unanswered points that spanned the second and third periods.

Wydermyer scores twice as No. 17 A&M routs Gamecocks 44-14

Ainias Smith spoke to his Texas A&M teammates about the importance of starting fast before Saturday night's game against South Carolina.

Then he made sure the Aggies did just that.

Smith had a 95-yard punt return for a touchdown and Jalen Wydermyer added two TD catches as No. 17 Texas A&M built a huge first-half lead and coasted to a 44-14 rout of South Carolina.

No. 1 Georgia, defense dominate Florida in Cocktail Party

Raise a glass to Georgia's defense. Or three, actually — one for each second-quarter turnover that turned the rivalry known as "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" into another lopsided affair.

The top-ranked Bulldogs and the nation's No. 1 defense dominated Florida, scoring three touchdowns off miscues in a 12-play sequence that carried them to a 34-7 victory Saturday, their fourth in five years in the neutral-site game.

Mississippi State beats turnover-prone No. 12 Kentucky 31-17
Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers could do no wrong Saturday night, setting an Southeastern Conference record for completion percentage to help the Bulldogs steamroll their way to another big victory.

The sophomore quarterback completed 92% of his passes — 36 of 39 — which is an SEC record for any game with 30-plus attempts.

Dillon Johnson ran for two touchdowns and Mississippi State scored 14 points off of four Kentucky turnovers to beat the No. 12 Wildcats 31-17 on Saturday night.

University of Tennessee won't self-impose bowl ban after internal investigation

The University of Tennessee has concluded its year-long internal investigation into rules violations within the football program that led to the firing of head football coach Jeremy Pruitt and will not self-impose a bowl ban, the university announced Thursday.

In a statement, the university said it was "moving forward with our focus on rebuilding our football program and supporting student-athletes" and that the university would "hold ourselves accountable considering the nature of the violations, our prompt investigation and corrective personnel, the new recruiting environment and other factors."

Georgia suspends Adam Anderson after rape allegation

Georgia has indefinitely suspended starting linebacker Adam Anderson, who has been accused of raping a woman, sources told ESPN on Thursday.

Anderson, a senior from Rome, Georgia, has not been arrested and denied the allegation through his attorney.

According to an Athens-Clarke County Police Department incident report, a 21-year-old woman told police that she went to a house in Athens, Georgia, between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday. After having drinks, the woman said, she woke up while Anderson was raping her.

She reported it to police later that day. Anderson played in Georgia's 34-7 victory over Florida in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday.

QB Daniels returns as No. 1 Georgia dominates Missouri, 43-6

With Missouri gearing its defense to stop the run, No. 1 Georgia relied on big plays in a passing game that was boosted by the return of quarterback JT Daniels.

Stetson Bennett passed for 255 yards and two touchdowns before giving way to Daniels, the former starter, leading the Bulldogs to a 43-6 win over Missouri on Saturday.

Hooker's 4 TDs help Tennessee top No. 18 Kentucky 45-42

Even for a team that's embraced a fast pace, Tennessee's efficiency against No. 18 Kentucky was something to behold.

Especially the little time Hendon Hooker needed to move the Volunteers up and down the field.

Hooker threw a career-high four touchdown passes, including a 6-yard insurance score to Cedric Tillman early in the fourth quarter, and Tennessee held off the Wildcats 45-42 on Saturday night to halt a two-game skid.

No. 15 Ole Miss beats Liberty and former coach Freeze, 27-14

The return of Hugh Freeze to Mississippi was met with little fanfare and a matter-of-fact victory by the Rebels.

Matt Corral threw for 324 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 15 Mississippi past Liberty and the former Rebels coach 27-14 on Saturday.
