No. 10 Arkansas survives scare from Petrino, Missouri State

Bobby Petrino broke Arkansas’ heart once. Sam Pittman wasn’t going to let it happen again.

Pittman’s 10th-ranked Razorbacks overcame a 10-point deficit with three touchdowns in the final 11:38 to beat Petrino’s FCS-level Missouri State team 38-27 on Saturday night.

Levis helps No. 9 Kentucky shut out Youngstown State 31-0

An effective combination of punishing defense and Will Levis’ arm helped quell any concerns about No. 9 Kentucky letting down after a big victory.

Levis accounted for three touchdowns, Kavosiey Smoke ran for a score and the Wildcats shook off a slow start to shut out Youngstown State 31-0 on Saturday.

Johnson steps in, No. 24 Texas A&M beats No. 13 Miami 17-9

Looking for a way to get his team back on track after an upset last week, Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher benched quarterback Haynes King for Max Johnson, and the LSU transfer came through to help the Aggies down the Miami on Saturday night.

Johnson threw for 140 yards and a touchdown in his first start for No. 24 Texas A&M and the Aggies beat No. 13 Miami 17-9.

No. 20 Ole Miss runs right through Ga Tech in 42-0 blowout

For those who think Lane Kiffin prefers to throw the ball all over the field, check out what No. 20 Mississippi did on Saturday.

With his quarterback position still in a bit of flux, Kiffin's team put quite the beatdown on Georgia Tech.

Zach Evans and Quinshon Judkins led a 316-yard pummeling on the ground that powered Ole Miss to a 42-0 victory, turning up the heat even more on embattled Yellow Jackets coach Geoff Collins.

USF botches late FG, No. 18 Florida gets 31-28 win in Swamp

Anthony Richardson nearly cost Florida another victory.

He can thank cornerback Tre'Vez Johnson, running back Trevor Etienne and South Florida's late gaffes for getting him off the hook.

Etienne's 3-yard touchdown run followed Johnson's fourth-quarter interception and helped the 18th-ranked Gators hold off South Florida 31-28 in the Swamp on Saturday night.

No. 1 Georgia could be falling after 39-22 win over Kent St

Georgia hardly looked like the nation's best team, struggling to put away Kent State.

The No. 1 Bulldogs ultimately prevailed, holding on for a 39-22 victory Saturday, but their two-week run atop the rankings could be in jeopardy.

Gators Fail to Overcome Tennessee’s Offensive Firepower, Lose 38-33

Anthony Richardson's heroic efforts on the road in Knoxville were not enough for the Gators to come out on top.

The Florida Gators (2-2; 0-2 SEC) fell to the Tennessee Volunteers (4-0; 1-0 SEC) on Saturday afternoon, 38-33. It is just the second UT victory over Florida since 2004 and pushed the Gators to 0-2 in conference play for the first time since 1986.

Achane leads No. 23 Texas A&M past No. 10 Arkansas, 23-21

Demani Richardson got the ball just like he wanted, and the defensive back sprinted the final 82 yards down the sideline on a wild fumble return touchdown for No. 23 Texas A&M.

"Big momentum play. That helped us a lot," Aggies running back Devon Acane said.

Richardson had the big return while Acane ran for 159 yards and a touchdown as Texas A&M scored 23 consecutive points after falling behind early, eventually beating the 10th-ranked Razorbacks 23-21 on Saturday night.

Dart, Judkins help No. 16 Mississippi beat Tulsa 35-27

Although consistency for four quarters continues to be a top priority for No. 16 Mississippi, the Rebels relied on a 28-point outburst in the second quarter to cruise to a win against Tulsa on Saturday.

Jaxson Dart and Quinshon Judkins accounted for four touchdowns in the big quarter as Mississippi rallied from an early deficit to beat Tulsa 35-27.

South Carolina tops SC State 50-10 in game moved for Ian

South Carolina tailback MarShawn Lloyd wasn't expecting much stadium atmosphere Thursday night.

He and the Gamecocks got a bigger surprise than they could've imagined.

''It was amazing,'' Lloyd said after South Carolina's 50-10 victory over FCS opponent South Carolina State in a game moved up from its Saturday start with Hurricane Ian projected to hit the Palmetto State.

No. 1 Georgia rallies from 10 down to beat Missouri 26-22

The two most important characteristics that Georgia coach Kirby Smart seeks in his team are composure and resiliency, and the top-ranked Bulldogs needed to rely on both to rally past Missouri on Saturday night.

Or, as Smart put it: ''We had to OD on those.''

Kept out of the end zone until the fourth quarter and facing a 10-point deficit, the Bulldogs got their run game going just in time to avoid the upset. Kendall Milton finished off one long drive with a touchdown, then Daijun Edwards got into the end zone with just over four minutes to go, lifting the Bulldogs to a 26-22 victory.

Mississippi St. forces 4 turnovers to roll No. 17 Texas A&M

Offensive opportunities were there for the taking by No. 17 Texas A&M. Mississippi State's defense was also there to deny the Aggies at almost every turn.

The Bulldogs forced A&M into four turnovers, including three inside the red zone, and took advantage in a 42-24 victory on Saturday.

Decamerion Richardson scooped up Emmanuel Forbes' critical third-quarter field goal block and returned it 50 yards for the touchdown to give the Bulldogs a 21-3 lead. The Aggies (3-2, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) got no closer than 11 as MSU's defense denied A&M inside the 20 all game long with big plays.

Rogers sets SEC passing record, No. 23 MSU beats Arkansas

Two seasons ago Arkansas came up with a blueprint to defend Mike Leach's Air Raid offense.

A three-man front with eight players dropping in coverage made for a rough night for the Mississippi State offense. That game plan did not work on Saturday.

Will Rogers threw for three touchdowns and broke the Southeastern Conference mark for career completions, and the 23rd-ranked Bulldogs ran for their most yards with Leach in charge in a 40-17 win over the Razorbacks.

Hooker, No. 8 Tennessee too much for No. 25 LSU, 40-13

) As dynamic quarterback Hendon Hooker and his Tennessee teammates left the field in a mostly empty Tiger Stadium, nearly all the fans who remained were wearing orange and belting out the lyrics to ''Rocky Top.''

Hooker passed for two touchdowns, Jabari Small ran for 127 yards and two scores, and No. 8 Tennessee punished No. 25 LSU for its mistakes and risk-taking in a resounding 40-13 victory on Saturday.

No. 9 Ole Miss rallies from 10 down, routs Vanderbilt 52-28

The ninth-ranked Mississippi Rebels got a glimpse of just how good they might be this season in how they handled trailing at halftime for the first time this season.

Jaxson Dart threw for a career-high 448 yards and three touchdowns and Mississippi overcame a 10-point deficit in routing Vanderbilt 52-28 on Saturday for its first 6-0 start since 2014.

No. 2 UGA routs Auburn 42-10 in Deep South's Oldest Rivalry

Georgia gets held to an almost impossible standard these days. That goes with being the defending national champions.

''I think we just got to play football,'' quarterback Stetson Bennett said. ''I mean, it's just football. It's X's and O's. It's have fun with your brother and go jump on him.''

The Bulldogs had plenty to enjoy Saturday in a 42-10 victory against rival Auburn that started a little sluggish, but turned into a laugher.
