Agreed. Sharpe probably could become the best backcourt player we’ve ever had.

Back when I said this about Dame when he got drafted, people were saying he’d be a slightly better Chauncey Billups or a slightly worse Derrick Rose.

NBA Top 10. Sharpe is #2. Should be #1.

This clip is cued up to the Sharpe segment.

"Nobody in the NBA flies like this guy."

Amazing that not even Dame did this before:

    All right, I'm a convert!

It comes so easy for him. Almost to the point where it's a mundane play for him.

19 yr olds should not be finishing like that around elite rim protectors.

In a way, it's like he's playing chess, while others are playing go fish. And he's not yet good at chess, but when he does, it'll be something other worldly.

Older fans would probably guess (or know) that this is not true. Rookie Geoff Petrie had 11 games in row of 25+ points, which included three 40+ point games. He had six 40+ point games for the season.
Rookie Sidney Wicks ended his season scoring 25+ in five consecutive games (six if you include the playoffs).
Both Petrie and Wicks were 22 years old as rookies.

That play by SS around Govert was so smooth. He made it look so easy. Too easy. Casual. It’ll go down in history as two points. But not many players can do that and make it look so simple and casual like that. As a die-hard baseball fan, there are defensive players that make so many plays look basic but most guys don’t make it happen (like Brandon Crawford at shortstop).

Um, they didn't make the playoffs that year...or in any year that Wicks played for the Blazers.

Not only that, he didn't end his rookie year scoring 25+ in 5 consecutive games. He scored 25+ in games 76-81, and then scored 7 in the final game (only the 2nd time that year he scored under 10).

Shaedon was out shooting three pointers on the court before the Kings game on Friday. He calmly took a few shots at each of about 10 different spots around the 3 point line. Set shots that went in almost all of the time. He made about 85% of them. He only missed 3 total.
Shaedon , on open 3-pointers, might already be a consistent 3-point shooter game-to-game because of the way he shoots. He could be another 40% threat like Grant was this season.

    Thank you for the correction.
Wicks scored 25+ in 6 consecutive games.

I'm kind of a klutz; always have been. So I'm speaking to something I don't really know about, but is does seem that really good players operate on an instinctive level a lot of the time. They just react. How many time do you suppose it's been that Shape has attacked a guy like Gobert from that angle? Maybe never? But he was able to not only adjust his body but switch hands, all while in the air. I'm skeptical most players could have done something like that but we've seen Sharpe do something similar several times already

I seriously doubt that Cronin will trade this guy. I also seriously doubt Dame wants him to

Shaedon told Casey he was studying film and figured he'd have to get wide and extend to score on Rudy. And he just... did it. Ridiculous natural talent.

This is what you see when you go to re-watch the game on League Pass.
