Yet you always say you want to trade CJ. Exactly who would you want for CJ if not one of the top. 5 SGs of all time?

Hence the conflict. He wants to trade CJ, but also despises the guy who would be a reasonable and theoretically realistic return.

    Wait...what???

Olshey was almost Harden's high school coach??!!!!

With Harden's personal knowledge of Olshey, this trade has an obvious outcome. He will head in the opposite direction of Portland.

It's Eric... I stopped trying to have any kind of logical conversation with him a long time ago.

Danny Marang says it will come down to Portland and Denver for the James Harden sweepstakes. Those are the two teams that can offer the most.

Not sure why Denver would do it. But if I'm houston, I go for Michael Porter Jr.

Wtf would we even give them? CJ, Trent, Kanter and some 1s. I feel like they can do way better.

Denver definitely has more ammo to get him. But it makes little sense to me because they put the ball in Jokic's hands so much.

Yep, if I'm Houston I'd go after Porter Jr, Bol Bol Bolivia (tho I'm not sure if he can be traded) and Barton.

I'd really try to wring them. I'd try to get Murray and Porter Jr.

Id assume the Rockets would want a kings ransom from Denver because MPJ’s back is supposedly like Roys knees.

The last I saw, Denver was reluctant to give up Michael Porter jr, but I think a Harden/Jokic combo would be deadly.

Can we trade for him already. This never ending purgatory is so old. Swing for the fences! It doesn't guarantee anything, but at least it is a shot. Right now, we are just guaranteed not to be a contender.

Houston would do that. I doubt Denver would.

What are we thinking the going rate is? I mean, I would love to have Harden next Dame, but I'm just not sure what the cost of acquisition would be.

Who knows. No team seems to be jumping at him which might give the Blazers (who don't have the best assets to trade) more of a chance.

I hope Olshey wouldn't choose CJ over Harden but you might be right. The only thing that gives me hope that Olshey would make the right move this time is that he has a personal relationship with Harden and we know how far personal relationships go with fucking Olshey who plays favorites worse than maybe any GM in post Jordan NBA history.

So at this stage, does what Harden brings to the table outweigh what we would have to give up and his potential toxic personality?

Outside of passing, which Harden is head and shoulders better than CJ, they're almost identical. CJ is two years younger and we would have to give up other assets to get him.
