In order to get Melo for basically free. Gotta look at the whole fucking scenario.

You say you know the context then make a statement showing how you still don't understand the context.

    I'd have to consider it.
My concern with this trade with be injury history.
4 of those players getting big minutes have quite an injury history to look at.
Granted you never go into the season planning for the "what if".
Though I have a feeling if Stotts ended up being forced to start Swanigan or Vonleh at center(unless something unforeseen happens) NO would be filing for unemployment before the season ended.

Ideally you'd sign a vet C as insurance. We'd have O'Quinn, and could go after someone like Jeff Whithey if he's available

This has been reported already and the rumor mill has continued to churn. From the original context, it was not that he'd said no to a deal to Portland, it's just that he'd initially only said he'd welcome a deal to Cavs or Rockets.

I don't think a deal to Portland will happen, but from the reports I've seen, he hasn't said no to Portland.

New York (but both really). Management supposedly needs to go back and talk with him and see what he's open to now that they have the new GM.

And that's why we traded him for Nurkic.

Crazy how the original rumor went from us getting in a three team deal to get anderson and HELP Melo go to Houston and then it finally came out we are actually going after Melo. I don't know why he wouldn't consider Portland honestly. Look at the pieces, the guys here. Who wouldn't wanna play with CJ and Dame? they aren't gonna be selfish. If a player like Melo comes here they will get them the best touches just as CP3 would. People forgetting Dame is a great playmaker, not CP3 level but he is up there, just look what he did to help Plumlees and Nurkic's careers finding them with the pick and roll. So who knows, I believe they still have to ask Melo to consider other teams meaning us. We can offer the best deal and I would like to think New York would rather have our pieces or just take Melo in for another year. Or maybe he is so unhappy they just trade him to Houston for whatever which I don't know what that could be
