    Roy was an amazing and much needed player while he was here and did many great things for the fan base and franchise. However he left Portland in his rear view mirror and played a unfortunately small amount of time in the league. All that being said, if you don’t get the team close to a championship or play a long career with a team then you shouldn’t be considered for a Jersey retirement

    i think that trainer was talking about the last 3 or so days, not the summer. But I do think Portland maintained their interest in Melo. I mean think about it, Collins was pretty much the only reliable guy they had at the four and they went into the season with an open roster spot.

    In my view they are not close to done but Skal has certainly come back down to earth....you were really big on him being a starter if I remember correctly....Nas is going to take that 4 spot

    SOmething I haven’t seen mentioned and who knows if it means anything, but the team strength and conditioning coach was with Melo at Syracuse. Maybe that’s another buffer to help him acclimate.
