I would LIKE Crabbes to be more assertive and trust his handle. Then see what happens. Could be good, could be bad. But we need to find out. Also, iirc he started off last season doing that more then he went away from it, possibly because of his foot issue? I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt one more time. He def needs to put up this season or ship out.

That's how I feel about the Meyers talk. Give the guy a fresh start somewhere else, and set my people free!!

I do have a trade where Turner goes to NY. Didn't want to post it cuz BNM says I can't post a trade where Gordon comes to Portland, but I'm gonna do it anyway!

Turner and Leonard to New York

Anderson, Gordon and Ariza to Portland

    Anthony and Crabbe to Houston

In one swoop I get rid of Portland's three bad contracts. Anderson is a better fit and better player than Leonard. Gordon is a better player than Crabbe. Ariza only has one season left but at this point I think his all-around game might be better than anyone we have at SF.
I think Houston is good with this; they get rid of Anderson's horrid contract, value Anthony over Ariza and Crabbe/Gordon is a wash.
New York probably does have to get a pick here or probably one from Houston and one from Portland. They have to really like Turner, but hey they just signed some guy who is a nobody for about the same price.

I like removing Leonard's contract but that is cancelled out by also losing good player Harkless. I like receiving two picks but these are two second rounder which are hardly worth anything.

Anderson at $10M a year would be a good get. At almost $20M a year, it's a bad deal whichever way we look at it, and the fact that he'll take minutes from Swanigan and Collins makes it even worse. We will have three contracts close to $20M a year that will be impossible to move for the next three seasons in Turner, Crabbe and Anderson. That's going to make it very hard for us to build here. Hope we might somehow be able to get Jae Crowder for some of our assets (doubtful).

Flip the picks. Portland gets a first. New York gets the seconds.

This is the only legitimate info we have gotten about any potential of Portland being involved

Bad deal for Portland if that were to happen. Harkless is great value.

Of course we haven't seen details yet so it's pretty hard to grade it.

Glad to hear it's expanded to a 4-team deal - hopefully we aren't (a) taking back Anderson or (b) trading Harkless.

I think both happen if we're involved.

Boston's front office is very high on him, and it's just not going to happen without blowing them away.
CJ or Lillard + multiple firsts.
Only way Crowder is coming to Portland is through free agency. Meaning he's not coming to Portland.

Shit, you mean we gotta go to trade machine now and make up four team deals??!!! Could they at least tell us who the fourth team might be?
