    Those are all good points (well, except the stupid ass crap about me trying to control people, but I'll let that cheap shot slide out of respect for you.).

    My point was more about our society and not ancient Rome. However, it is an established fact that all great societies decay from within. And I think it's fair to say we are well on our way to that.

    I'm not talking about you specifically, but more about society as a whole. That's why I said "we need to stop trying to control people" and more specifically "the government needs to stop trying to control people."

    No worries man, and you are entitled to your opinion. I was getting pissed yesterday at some of my "friends" on facebook because I saw a few proudly claim they "unfriended" people because they voiced a different opinion about gay marriage. If someone is too delicate to allow others to freely voice their opinions on a topic, I believe they are demonstrating the same kind of intolerance that they are supposedly "unfriending" for. Obviously if someone is abusive about your opinion, by all means remove them, but showing them the door simply because they disagree with you about something seems very hypocritical to me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the matter.
