So what is the trade value of our players if we truly wanted to tank? Lillard - 2 lotto picks Cj - 1 lotto pick, 1st rnd pick Nurk - 1 1st rnd pick Everyone else - unless you want to take back some ugly contracts I'm seeing lots of 2nd round picks.
I just can't see Dame ever being traded unless he requests it. We aren't the Tampa Bay Rays. You have to find somebody to put on the pre-season billboards.
Nice try Satan, but I refuse to start watching major league baseball just so I can understand your analogies. BNM
If you really think I believe you are incapable of getting that analogy, then your name should be change back to what it was before.
I don’t even know if you could get a 2nd round pick for turner to be honest but I like the idea of cj for a lotto pick just because this draft seems promising. You trade whatever else besides dame for any help he can get. Keep nurk as well. I don’t mind aminu staying. Would be cool to see Shabazz remain as backup pg.
If other team's know you are selling, it probably artificially depresses a player's value because of the loss of leverage. Having said that, I think Damian could probably net you a top 7 protected lottery pick, CJ might be a top 10 protected pick and Nurk might get you a lottery protected pick in return, and then everybody else is either very low first round picks, top of the second round protected picks, and salary dumps, that might require picks going out just to get rid of them. "Talent poor" is the phrase that springs to mind.
IF we ever traded Dame I'd target a future replacement with additional assets. The PG prospect that I'd target would be Frank Ntikikina. This guy will be an all-defensive caliber player - at PG. Or the complete opposite - Trae Young.
Haha, classic. Taken out of context it's a bit silly. Don't remember what the origin of this was, but I do remember suggesting it and you making it.
Kyrie Irving just got traded for an unprotected, expected(at the time) to be high lottery pick, an all star at the same position who just finished 5th in MVP voting, the rights to a recent 1st round pick, as well as a very solid SF on a very good contract. And yet Damian is going to have someone putting top 7 protection on a pick? I know it's cool to shit on our players so you don't look like a homer, or be rather apathetic towards our players and their abilities, but this is just fucking stupid. "Probably" get a top 7 protected pick? fuck...
Lol if we were to ever trade Lillard... 1.) I go crazy and 2.) i’d stop going crazy long enough to start a campaign for Trae Young out of Oklahoma.
Objectivity is a tough thing for some people. I will keep reading and enjoy the entertainment as it unfolds.
Not sure if you're saying that he's overvaluing lotto picks, in that Lillard isn't worth a top one, or that his take is reasonable, because other teams value them to where they would put top 7 protection on acquiring Lillard. If it's the former, yes. If it's the latter, my post stands, that's a terrible assessment.
Sly is Olshey's Quick, his publicist. Lowering our expectations, so that Olshey's trade will look better.
