The reason Zach has played better than he ever did in Portland is because Pop plays him exclusively at center.
Zach is better than Jabari right now, specifically at center. At PF, yeah the improvement is minimal.
Zach has become a good secondary playmaker on the PnR. 18% assist rate and 4.5 assists per 36 in the last two years. Would have been nice to have that with Dame the last few years. His team gets roasted on the defensive boards when he plays center though.
Just an article on my sports feed today...said "in talks" so that's all I got from it. Could be somebody's agent fueling the rumor mill for all I know. Portland media says Grant's not on the table but....shit changes quickly in this league.
are you sure? looks pretty close. Zach is longer but that doesn't give him any advantage of the boards; Jabari is quite a bit better. Zach is a better passer for sure, or at least he's more practiced, but that's about the only distinct advantage he has. Zach is 5 years older with 5 more years of experience. Of course, a lot of that experience has come when he's been in street clothes because of injury
