True, but they lost anyways didn't they? If the A-Bomb wasn't dropped on them, and them knowing the end of their country as they knew it was near, and as their religion tought them not to surrender (they considered those people scum) who knows what they would have done to survive. Keep in mind, Stalin was still in power at the time, Italy had just overthrown Mussolini and we starting over, France just got their country back, and England was hurting from the battle with Germany (if it wasn't for their radar, they wouldn't have made it). The West was hurting, and not all countries got involved in the war anyways, why would they now? It is hard to tell. Countries that were in the war are hurting, other countries just got their independence back, and some didn't want to be involved with the war. If Japan had dropped the bomb on us, they wasn't a whole lot for them to have to fight back. Remember, after the War Russia wasn't to happy with us, who knows, what if Russia (not saying they would of) decided to join Japan. I mean, Stalin was mad at the US for keeping secrets from him. Roosevelt and Churchill had become good friends, and Stalin wasn't a trustworthy guy anyways. Why wouldn't he join Japan (he did have an alliance with Germany and not untill Hitler broke that, did Stalin invade Germany). I mean, there is a lot of "If" and "Buts" about WW2. A lot of that war didn't make since, who really knows what might have happend.
Yes the European nations were not at full strength, but that doesn't mean that once Japan nuked us it would have been a walk in the park to conquer the world. We would have nuked them right back, and if we just played defensively then they really wouldn't have stood much chance. They had to cross the Pacific just to reach us, we could have just held our ground and fought them off while the other Aliied nations recooperated, and then it would have been over for Japan.
Yeah, I am not saying it would have been easy, or that they would have even won. But I am saying I think they weren't affraid to do so. Besides, what if Russia had helped Japan after Japan decided to nuke us?

Why would you even say that America has the best goverment when you don't know anything about other goverments.
People like to say that we live in the country in the world and how much we should value our freedom, but they obviously haven't experienced life in other nations. I do think this is the best country in the world, but that has nothing to do with our government, they're the main problem I have with living here.
We do not have a perfect government and believe me we make mistakes. But the bottom line is-- our government cannot take away my freedom to achieve and be all that I (no one else) decide I can be or achieve. It is freedom. No other country has it like the United States. England is a socialist country so the government has a hand in things that can stifle that freedom. Communist countries aren't even in this conversation if we talk about freedom. In this country I can vote and even run for office. But think about this, if the liberals would get into office our government would then change this country. We would no longer be the America you know.

I am not saying that. I am saying they are limited in how far they can take their business. The government controls production and distirbution in that country. They can, but Henry Ford would not have lasted there like he did here.

Regardless, if you want to say that about England, then what's wrong with other countries such as Australia, Belgium, Spain, etc.?
Well, I am not going to list every country and explain what I think about their governments. And I must admit, I don't know a whole lot on this subject matter. I first entered this debate to vent about our government, I am pretty pissed at it right now. So, I don't have a lot to back up a debate with you.I am just going to say that whatever you have, you will allways find something else that looks better. Other countries are saying the same thing about our government, how they hate theirs and ours is better. It just depends on what side of the fence you are on.I have to say, you win this one.
