Come on you guys, let's get some questions.
Have you ever read an S2 thread?
Damn I hope not, he's over 90 years old.
What made him want to bring professional basketball to portland?
Kind of why i asked the question. Checking how much kick he has in the ol heart still....
Watch he is a member here!
How closely do you follow the Blazers still?
What advice would you give to the group trying to bring baseball to Portland?
Are you team Jacob or (what's the other one?)
What do you think it will take for the Blazers to become a Championship caliber team?
This is his grandson. I was walking into a Blazers/Clips playoff game and saw this and yelled "LARRY WEINBERG IN THE HOUSE". Didn't know that Weinberg was in front of him. We met him up after the game and Weinberg was so cool, he said don't worry, the Blazers will come back (and we did).
His grandson was so blown away that people remembered Larry at a game in LA and were just blown away by his presence.
Come on you guys, need a few more good questions.
Did you have any seller's remorse after parting with the Blazers?
If Paul Allen hadn't been interested in buying the Blazers, what would have happened? Were there other serious bidders at the time?
Were any of your fellow owners particularly difficult to deal with? Any juicy stories you can tell us?
As an owner, who was the player you most enjoyed interacting with and why?
1) Tell us the story about the decision to sell the Blazers to Paul Allen in 1988,
2) Tell us about the 1984 Draft where we were fined for tampering, and ultimately selected Sam Bowie. How much discussion was there for you about Michael Jordan?
3) How well did you know Herman Sarkowsky or Robert Schmertz in 1970? Please tell of how you got involved with them in ownership of the Blazers.
4) Do you still follow sports? The Blazers?
Separate names with a comma.
