another shitty fight. are most seasons like this with a bunch of bad fights initially?

i guess they had to stop that one, but it was pretty lame. kimbo on the ground barely getting hit with punches that couldn't have hurt him.

    Obviously its random.

The Kimbo fight was a bit of a letdown, just because Roy basically just made Kimbo's ground game look bad and didn't even go for a submission.

The first fight had it's moments, that cut was one of the worst cuts in mma.

The 2nd fight was not as good as it could have been because of conditioning, although McSweeney really did a number on Shiver's leg.

After season 2 (?) Dana said he'd never do heavyweights again. Conditioning is the major reason.

The fights will get better once we get to the quarter finals, probably. There are just some guys who need to be weeded out first.

obviously it's random though of course you'd expect the coaches to try to pick mismatches at the beginning. i guess i meant more like are the fights just shitty in general on most seasons like they have been so far.

Sounds like a tease to get people who are just watching for Kimbo to watch again.

I hope Marcus Jones doesn't get replaced. If he can get his conditioning proper he looks about ready to tear some guys apart.

What a let down of a fight.

Kimbo on the stand up would've rocked him, but on the ground, he is still so easy to beat.

Honestly, what Roy did was really smart but...I lost some respect for him. It was just so freaking boring.

And yeah, Kimbo is going to be back me thinks as an injury replacement and win a fight or something. There is no way in hell Dana, Rampage, and Rashad could've been impressed with that.

Frankly, I would have to say this season is in the running for worst ever.

I think Herb usually does a good job. He's a good ref from what I've seen.

If I had any issue, it's that Roy is completely wrong, he thought it was a late stoppage, imo I would have liked to have seen more, even though it would have very likely ended with Roy winning, at least Roy would have worked for a sub or get the decision.

Kimbo wasn't defending himself, but Roy was not doing big damage. It should be more than just whether a fighter is defending himself.

Even though Al Turk was defending himself against Kongo, he took a severe beating (and had 3 facial bones broken).

Kongo took a big beating from Velasquez for 15 minutes, doesn't even compare to Roy Nelson's arm punches.

Winning the way Nelson did is basically taking a short cut. He didn't endear himself to anybody with that fight. Now I'd bet most people would like to see Kimbo smash him in a rematch.

A little disappointed by Rampage this past episode. He clearly doesn't want to be there. Plus it looks like he hasn't picked much of a team.

Little surprised we haven't seen more of Wes Sims. The guy has a huge personality.

Sweet anaconda choke + gator roll finish. Best finish of the season so far.

    Yeah, major letdown so far.

I'm guessing there aren't any good prelim fights otherwise they would've shown one of them already. They don't always go in order.
