    How horrible is SpikeTV?

Promoting the 'president of TNA' Cindy whatever her name is like she is somebody we might somehow remotely care about... pushing Manswers and 1000 Deaths and their other shitty original programming... I realize they think UFC fans are retarded but the viewership of that channel must drop by 90% when the fights are over.

Also, my friend and I played FIFA while the show was recording. We played FIFA for about an hour. Then we watched the show (just the intros and fights, skipped past everything else) and caught up to the live broadcast... in like 90 minutes! The ratio of crap to fights on Spike is appalling.

Yeah, I usually do the same thing with Spike, but tonight I didn't have nothing to do (work at 5:30 AM, girl working, friends @ a comedy show), so I just watched it. So damn annoying.

Almost makes the monthly price of $54.95 for the PPV HD bearable.

lol true man, I sent a message to dana saying how fucked up spike was using so many damn commercials, soon as the clock was done they would cut in, not showing us how the players got up, talking to coaches, etc.

manswers and 1000 deaths, what a dumb show. haha

Deadliest Warrior is pretty good but the rest of the non-UFC stuff on that channel is AIDS for the eyes.

I know what you mean, I was watching it and at 7pm they said Mark Bocek vs Joe Brammer was coming up next, cue commercials, I flip to Raptors game and watched till 7:09 and flipped back and they were just starting to introduce the fighters. So lame. that's like 9 minutes of commercials unless they had some useless shit inbetween like promoting TNA wrestling, but thats a commercial pretty much.

Did Roy Nelson really wear a Strikeforce beanie during his intro?

And his fight style of Kung Fu was hilarious.

Turned out to be a pretty exciting night of fights after such a shitty season of TUF. Sloppy but entertaining at least.

Re: Jones-Hamill I wasn't really that upset about how it turned out. Mazagatti is a tool and should have called it earlier but Hamill was still trying to defend and Jones wasn't landing a ton of GnP shots. Those two illegal elbows seemed to REALLY open Hamill up and IMO were the deciding factors in ending the fight. IMO the DQ is fair- Jones gets a loss on his record but you think its really going to set him back? Everyone saw he dominated and I'm sure Dana will continue to give him tougher and tougher competition. Wasn't an ideal result but I don't think it was handled that poorly. You can't just let Jones throw those elbows and give him the win.

How quickly can the UFC throw these guys into upcoming shows? Seems like Dana could salvage some of the upcoming events that have been raped by injuries by throwing in a Kimbo, Roy Nelson, Jon Jones, etc. to give them a little more appeal.

What would be the next step up for Jones from here? A Jardine? Franklin? Luis Cane? Jardine is tied up so hes a no go but the other two would be a really big jump in competition. Brandon Vera could be a good match up.

He needs to fight a good opponent for sure.

    Why not Forrest?

Matyushenko, Little Nog, and a few others also fought recently not including those you mentioned.

I was happy mazagatti let the fight go, Hammil was defending and deflecting and after learning his shoulder was pooched, I understand why he couldn't try and escape from that postition.

Jones was not landing a lot of crisp clean shots, so Mazagatti was correct to let it go until he had to stop it. Also the NSAC used instant replay to confirm the illegal blows and THEN it was ruled a DQ

p.s. how the hell do you spell mazagetti, mazagetti? Steve M? :p

    ^ Nice.

The first airing of the TUF Finale peaked at over 5-million viewers during Kimbo's match. The average for the show was 3.7-million.

The UFC would be smart to keep feeding Kimbo cans.
