Let's assume the Clips sign Gilbert Arenas. They can have one of the most versatile lineups in the league: PG- Arenas. Plays decent D, great rebounder for a PG, can score and can dish. SG- Maggette. Great scorer, decent rebounder, and has some good D. SF- Lamar Odom (assuming he re-signs). Possibly the most versatile of anyone in the lineup. PF- Brand. Great D, great rebounder, good scorer. C- Kaman or Ely. Kaman is ehhh....Ely can play good D and can score decently for a center. There are so many variations you can plug into the lineup. You can put Q in at SG, move Maggette up to SF, Odom to PF (he has the height and somewhat the bulk for it), and Brand at C. That lineup is small, but very quick for the positions they will be playing. The lineup above also has a great mix of athleticism, defense, and offensive. This team has so much versatility it's scary. Now only if they can put it all together....anyway, what other variations of lineups do you think the team can put out and what would their specialty be?
yes, the Clippers should be a strong team next season.... allnet made a similar thread in NBA Basketball.
Another Small Ball Lineup: PG - Dooling SG - Arenas SF - Q PF - Odom C - Brand The Clippers definately have a lot of options. Jaric can play either guard position. Ely & Wilcox & Brand can all play the 4 or 5. Dunleavy is going to have a fun time being creative with the lineup and figuring out which unit plays the best together.
I think the most athletic lineup the Clips can put out is: C- Wilcox PF- Odom SF- Maggette SG- Q PG- Arenas I haven't seen Dooling enough to measure how athletic he is, but I hear he is really athletic. However, since I have seen Arenas the most I put him in there.
