it's an all star game, not the playoffs.
message to the youth of America? Jesus talk about getting overly dramatic. I think damian should be there. Snubs happen every year. There's a ton of talent in the league. Boycotting from wes or Aldridge and whining just seems so juvenile and comes across like I'm taking my ball and going home if everything doesn't go my way.
Back it up with a solid next few months on the court. Beat Atlanta tonight by playing his normal game, not trying to score 50 on them.

There are only so many spots to go around. Every year someone who is "deserving" is left off.

I say again, I think (hope) Dame returns the "snub" by snubbing the ASG. And resting up for the rest of the season.

I just want to thank everyone that felt I wasn't good enough. This isn't unfamiliar territory for me. It actually is what my life has been inspired by. I'd be lying if if I said I wasn't disappointed or that I don't feel disrespected, but it's not too much to handle. Not the first or last guy to be snubbed, but "you should have been there" is not good enough for me. But anyway, the reason I'm in these shoes is because I've always used the hand I was dealt to my advantage. A wise man once told me "it ain't always gone be peaches and cream, but somebody has to pay for the reason it's not...one way or another." #ImThankful#Real#NonAllStar#RipCity#YellowTape

Players often have incentives in contracts and endorsement deals re: the all star game. Just because it's not the playoffs doesn't mean it doesn't matter, to the players or the fans. and yes, I think winning should matter more than it apparently does. I think it sends the wrong message.

At first we assumed Silver picked the replacement. He just picked the next highest vote by coaches

Why the Caps? Bad Keyboard? It must be mechanical, I know you are bright enough to know All Stars post All Star stats and no questions are needed.

Maybe he should be mad at himself shooting 38.1% and 31.4% from 3 this month it has been an ugly month and the team has been average this month not exactly the best way to endear yourself to the voters. Take out the 2 Lakers games and it has been a really bad month for Dame.

I hope the players aren't as perpetually butt hurt as this fan base is.

Hear hear. Must be mature in times like this or you look like a crybaby bitch. Portland is already thought of as a soft team, why feed the fire with this crap? Buck up, hit the gym harder and play better on the court. That is the only positive thing Dame and the team can do. Anything else will backfire like it already is.

Agein, hear hear! Allstar games do indeed matter!!! Players know it does. and it doesnt matter how many minutes you play or how many points you score. At the end of your career when you retire and look at trying to make the HOF, one of the things looked at is how many all star games did he play in? It indeed does matter, anyone who says it doesnt matter is not looking at the big picture.
