Answering my own question Trading any one of those 4 players would definitely hurt. Even writing this I don’t know which player I’d want to give up, probably Scoot if we were drafting Harper, and Dani or Toumani for Ace. I guess I wouldn’t make a good GM I’m growing attached to this team.
I is true that you never know but I'm expecting Joe to do what he's been doing since re-signing Jerami to that huge deal as Dame was asking out which is confounding me and pissing me off. So I expect what happens in regards to this trade deadline to not make any sense and make me angry. Then if anything does start to clarify things or right the ship if you will, then I'll be pleasantly surprised but the expectations (for a lot of good reasons) are not high.
I wanted to ad a little to this. The expectation shouldn't be high or low. The expectation should be competent trades that send out the player that don't work and bring in players that do or bad contracts with draft capitol. For instance Ant and Delano for Anthony Black and Cole Anthony seems like it would be a very easy trade to pull off from our side and the only negotiation would be if they needed to include draft capitol and how much. That's not a spectacular trade without a FRP coming back with those young players but it's' not terrible either and it resets the pecking order in a way that makes sense. Just trades like that, that move Ant, Jerami and probably Rob because even though I love Rob he is a win now player because who knows how long that knee is going to hold up. I don't expect a miracle trade with any kind of return for Deandre but he might make sense for a young star on their first extension if we attached the right draft capitol. Joe doesn't need to knock anything out of the park, he just needs to pick a lane and make some trades that are merely competent. Again though, experience has shown me that chances are slim that we get even that but while no one should be shocked if Joe fucks this up, we should expect competency from our front office.
My colonoscopy is a full two weeks after the trade deadline. In both cases, however, I expect to take it up the tailpipe.
several years ago I was doing some high level academic research on pornography...for the greater good obviously anyway, I watched a movie and before a scene the director was interviewing the gal who was going to be in the scene. There was a bunch of boring blahblahblah and then the interviewer asked the pornstar: "what's your favorite part of anal?". The gal thought about for a moment and then said: "when it's over"
I was going to respond to the OP but Wizenheimer just threw me for a loop with that post and nothing I can say would be able to stand up to that post so I'll just leave this here so no one else has to follow up that gem of a reply!
