McCann is still one of the few Premium Catchers in the game, both Defensively and Offensively, IMO. Brian will find his groove, he's hitting the ball hard, and on the barrel of the bat, and such will pay off dividends in time, as Brian finds those gaps b/t fielders, INF & OF....Brian calls a damn good game, as well as any Catcher in this era....... Eovaldi wasn't hitting McCann's target/glove to often. Nathan I believe has got to make a couple of minor adjustments, and he could easily become a Premier SP. I disagree with Smoltz on a few things, when he continued to pick apart Eovaldi's Delivery, wind up, and basically every Fundamental Mechanics breakdown. Teach the Kid a Cutter, or use a 2 seam fastball rather than a 4 seam, for his Fastballs to trail up as a natural 100 mph fastball 2 seamer should. . but then he's still got to hit McCann's target/glove, even with movement..... Indeed, McCann is NOT the problem........Hell even in Little Lg, a Pitcher is taught to hit the glove wherever its placed, 1st and foremost, then once control has been established, show us how fast one can throw, and still maintain control........
