It's not hard to compare the players to other players, but predicting if they will have a better career is near improbable.Could Andrea Baragini be the next Dirk, or will he be Darko? Will there be another Trajan Langdon in this years draft? Any Mateen Cleaves or Christian Laetteners?</div> Christian Laettner was not that bad his first 6 or so years in the league..put up 18ppg.

I hate how people are comparing Bargnani to Dirk now. Yes that original comparison has been made, but how many of you have ever seen the guy play. I know I havent, so Im not going to comment on him untill I do. Yes, theres been alot written about him comparing him to certain players, but its far to early to compare him to anybody without having seen him play..

Im not doubting that you have but I bet the majority of people who are talking about him havent. I know I havent, therefore if I made that comparison it wouldnt have any meaning behind it. Im sure that there are similarities and that he is a terrific player, but I highly doubt that most of the people talking about him have seen him play..

I never concern myself with the draft much because I don't watch college or foreign ball much. However, I do watch Chinese basketball sometimes, so I do actually comment on the Chinese players. What I hate worst is people judging a player by a highlight tape. I really, really hate that. First rule in the draft is -- don't get impressed by a highlight tape. Anyone can look like a number-one pick with a highlight tape. Seriously, if I posted a video of me and said that I was a draft prospect, I wouldn't be surprised if someone put me down as a late first-round pick. Sheesh.
