Why does it have to be a date? Why not a get together for coffee? "There is no Trump personcoffee" sounds so much more inclusive.
Just the opposite. Democrat voters boycotted because Hillary is really a Republican. Trump won because he has many liberal planks which Republican leaders hate.
What if I like Sahlep. Or want to appear sophisticated and drink Tea like a Brit. (Wait, forget it, After Brexit I am not sure that sophisticated and Brit work together). "There is no Trump individual drink meet" is so much better. (You notice that I removed that specieist "person" crap).
Nuh uh, all Democrats decided to be for gay marriage a couple of years ago. Kidding aside, if you lost the race with me to be pro gay marriage you're probably not really a Democrat.
Fig plants are shurbs while dates grow on trees. That's why there are no MAN figs. (And that's why the Knights who say Ni could never stop king Arthur)
How about just treating people as people? According to Pew, college graduates backed Clinton by a 9-point margin (52%-43%). If that makes you feel all warm and superior, just know that the people in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin who chose to vote for Trump this time around noted the condescension. The Dems, for being so fricking bright, couldn't seem to grasp that people in middle America have legitimate needs and concerns that Obama and Company hadn't addressed despite 8 years at the wheel.
So, if all they're mad at is the "condescending elites", no doubt Trump supporters will come out in force in condemnation of racism and xenophobia. Or are you saying that people calling them rednecks MADE them go for a guy who obviously courted the white power vote?
Unfortunately, it has been my experience over my lifetime that too many (but not all by any means) people with at least a 4 year degree honestly believe that those who do not have a degree have nothing of value to offer other than manual labor. And that we're not smart enough to know what's best for our own personal circumstances. And that is why the word "elitist" keeps coming up and why the backlash occurred.....Hillary thought she was smarter than everyone else and that's why so many folks (myself included) didn't vote for her. Hoisted in her own petard.......
I'm perfectly fine with that, I have friends smarter and dumber than me. I don't change my attitude towards any of them. But to cry that the right wing is triggered by being called stupid, when the right constantly makes fun of the left for being "intilectual" (even when they aren't, there are millions of dipshit democrats) is fucking weak as shit. It just is. Being smart should be encouraged, don't you think? And If being smart is worthy of derision then so is being stupid. So either own it or get over it. And they lost because they ran a horrible candidate who couldn't get enough votes. Obviously.
