Well, that's more of the baseball way of doing things, having a "stall"... it works in baseball because there's already 30 seconds built in. But you KILL the flow of the game if you do it in basketball. Before a free throw sure, but a block/charge or a ticky-tack foul, no. And in the TV room they have refs that are already on rotation. I believe they have a rotation of a week or so in the booth then back out to go do games... same as baseball does it. IMO, you're asking to make the game even longer... I don't mind the human element of the game. Have humans decide the game. Yes, we get fucked sometimes (See: Washington game) but really... keep it natural.
What???? Did you watch??? He had 11 and 5 against no namers, and got CUT from Big 3. He should be dominating 3 on 3.
Yeah. He looks out of shape. But he ran up and down the court. If his knees were as bad as mine he wouldn't make the whole length once
To put it another way, he looked about as quick as Swanigan. And the announcers were like "so nice to see him smile and be on the court"
I know he's done. I'm tired of seeing him play basketball. He's 30. We're seeing prime Greg Oden right now.
I guess I’m an old sap because I was just happy to see him make it back and forth, look like was having fun. He’s not anywhere close to an NBA player at this point or much of a player at all.
It’s not like he was Raymond Felton who was just fat and out of shape and collected the paychecks. He didn’t want his knees to give out and be a bust, I always at least somewhat felt bad for him and most other guys whose body can’t withstand the NBA / NFL or whatever league. So I am kind of happy to see him out there having fun.
I'm not mad at him. I'm tired of seeing him pop up every few years just to remind me what could have been.
Given what we now know about his drinking and partying (and his brother's similar problems) I am not convinced this is true.
