graybeard - why are you trying to talk about basketball in a cat v. dogs discussion? If you'd like to talk about the Blazers, KP or some other basketball topic, please find (or start) another thread dedicated to such topics. This thread clearly has nothing to do with basketball.

I think Kp is probably looking for a trade. But he isn't gonna make a big trade unless he can get what he really wants. I think he wants a point guard who can play really good defense and is either a great distributor or a great scorer or some combination of those two. And not too old. That's why he went after Devin Harris, probably now he wishes he had gone after him a little harder. Now, I think he is the guy Jersey is building around. Other guys I think would fill the bill would be Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook. I don't think any of those guys are available without giving up a minimum of Roy or Aldridge. The only guy who comes close and might be available without giving up either of those would be Monta Ellis. He is a good enough scorer that it might not matter if he is not a very good distributor. IF Kp thought he could become a great defender and his injury won't permanently slow him, that might be an option. Those are some big "ifs" though. So it's possible he has chosen the course of just waiting to see who will develop because he doesn't have any realistic alternatives, at this time.
