<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Teal:</div><div class="quote_post">Will they learn their lesson by then? I can't say yes, and i can't say no. Also, do you think that they players could be suspended even when that date comes along?</div> With the appeals process and whatnot, some of the players may not begin serving their suspensions for at least a month or two.
How good Indi vs. Detwa depends on whether Artest, O'Neal, Wallace, Jackson are going to play in that game because I believe the commish will take a stern action. It's still a month away but don't underestimate the suspensions that are going to be handed down, esp. to Artest. If somehow Artest makes it back this season, the Pacers I think are going to be one tough collective unit that is going to be very hard to beat. They stuck with each other unlike anything I've ever seen. The fight was the kinda event that will unite them tighter than ever for the rest of the season. Anyway, it will be a very very Merry Christmas... prepare the beer, Indy.

I dunno. There probably isn't going to be any more fights/ brawls since there will definitely be suspensions handed on probably in a week or so. I mean, who wants to not be able to play for however long the Commish will want them to sit, and thats probably about 3 weeks maybe? I dunno. Don't hold it against me if its less or more. Plus, theres going to be amped up security, and I'm talking to the max. One beer thrown and their gonna be on you like a fly on honey. Thats how securities gonna be in my opinion. I just hope the Pacer's fans stay above the Detroit level and keep it a clean and good game of basketball.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Accord:</div><div class="quote_post">Christmas day matchups: Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers Miami Heat vs. L.A. Lakers Who would have thought that the Shaq vs. Kobe matchup was going to be the undercard? Unbelievable and extremely coincidental.</div> I used to think that ones who prepare the NBA schedule are some kind of gods... it's like they know which matches are going to be hot at a certain timeline. Remember last year when the Nuggets and Jazz were basically playing for the last playoff spot, with less than 8 games to play and their records were tied. And in 2000 when the Lakers and Blazers met as the league's top two teams with identical records and identical winning streak at 11 apiece. And now, this...
hmm can anyone say WWE in the making? seriously, i have to watch the match. and i hope kobe and shaq will have a go at trying to abuse one another on court
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Gotrunks226:</div><div class="quote_post">Most likely on this christmas day, the building will be empty and the players will play against each other without any fans interrupting or doing stupid stuff</div> I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that the building will be empty, do you know how much money the NBA will lose for that? I think it'll jsut be ALOT TIGHTER security.
Considering Artest, JO and Jackson will all likely still be suspended I don't see how this game will be that interesting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Considering Artest, JO and Jackson will all likely still be suspended I don't see how this game will be that interesting.</div> Everyone is going to want to tune into the Pistons @ Pacers game on Christmas day to see Artest, JO, and Big Ben... there's no way they'll be suspended during that game, it would make for horrible TV. Being suspended between now and Christmas day is well over a month away and I doubt at least Big Ben would still be suspended that long.
