    while it was idiotic and tactless to get out, i don't doubt its veracity. We have an internal source of course who revealed verbatim that exact message two weeks ago. but I can unequivocally say it didn't come from Neil.

    If it's a leak to the media, he's contacting Woj and that's it. Jake Fischer is not getting a direct line to him-- the PR dept needs an overhaul.

    Who the fuck is this dude at Bleacher Report? Why would he have any inside info at all? What if that dude was just trolling some message boards and found that rumor like the rest of us? What if he was a huge fan of @BonesJones and heard him talking about the rumor?

    It's just weird that the Blazers ran a tight ship for nine years without significant leaks and now suddenly they're a massively leaky vessel?

    Why does the leak have to be from our front office? Why couldn’t it be any number of front offices? If you believe that the report was verified against other “sources around the league”, then the Blazers must not be the only team that has a negative impression of Hammon.

    If we are putting on our tinfoil hats, Pritchard interviewed Hammon last year and didn’t even give her a second interview. Maybe he leaked this to make our FO look bad because he still holds a grudge against the Blazers. And no I don’t actually believe that.

    I wanted Hammons to be the coach, because I felt she would've been a good candidate. But the more you read into it, the more it seems weird that she's gone so long without getting many interviews. Yes, you could say some of that is sexism, but that sexism can also work in her favor (i.e., Spurs afraid of being the team that fires her).

    I don't think any of us are denying that it's easy to blame the team for stuff they didn't do, but honestly, when was the last time the Blazers (or any NBA team) made what would be such a glaring PR blunder?
