LOL. YAY ONE GAME SAMPLE SIZE. I called this shit. Fine, let me amend it. We'll get clobbered by better AND worse teams. Plural, more than one game.
And Detroit, Charlotte, Washington, Sacremento, Denver... etc, etc, etc. The Cleveland game is an outlier. It's why it was like "oh... yay... now prove it." To which they haven't.
I think the first step is Neil doing some waste management right now. It will be great to get rid of Leonard,Crabbe,Turner and maybe even Davis for Noel or a legit 7th man\serviceable expiring guys. Right now the team is too backed up with trash, it's like we have placeholders at each position instead of admitting we got nothing.
I am not depressed over the team's problems right now. Looking ahead at what can be done to fix the team's problems is what makes me depressed. We could be in for a very rough 3-4 seasons. Olshey doubled down on his winnings, rolled the dice, and crapped out.
Turner has value around the league. Maybe not Noel value though. Of course he is also the 1 of those 3 that I would rather keep. Have to give to get, I understand... I think PHI has interested in Crabbe the most out of those (they have a huge need at SG) but not as much as they were this off-season (they were going to offer him but Nets beat them to the punch) and a pick would need to be thrown in.
They need Crabbe (and maybe another wing from a third team in a trade) more than they need Noel. If i were them i would trade Embiid, because i see him as a ticking time bomb.
I just want to add that this upcoming trade deadline might mark our true rock bottom. Microsoft guy feels like an angry loser--->Soap opera star begins to sweat from his forehead--->mouth-breathing Odell Beckham impersonator gets his ass shipped to the New York Anxieties for princess Noah--->Stefan Urkel transforms into a Bullet while Bradly "Hospital" Beal arrives with a wheelchair to the Moda Center--->Tunchi is selected from the crowd and hits a halfcourt shot to win 100,000$. etc etc...
You giving up alot for Noel why this guy haven't done crap this year. I can't trade for a player by past 2 years I what he is doing now. This is his contract year for RFA and he not proving anything that I would pay a big money contract.
Okay, okay... lets stop calling Meyers a lottery pick - because I sure as hell don't feel lucky we have him.
