Fairly early in the season I changed my opinion about CJ from "good player, but ultimately better trade bait" to "great player - a keeper for at least a few more seasons". But the more I read about the guy the more I really want him and Dame to work out as a championship-level tandem so they can both retire as Blazers without ever donning another team's jersey.

I really value intelligence, and CJ is about as intelligent as they come!

Congratulations to C.J. McCollum! Remember Martell Webster? That guy was also pretty intelligent.

Don't be an ass. Obviously, he's talking about intelligence in players who are actually good.

Why do you even read his posts? I've added BGD to my list of 3-4 people that I just completely skip right over.

Was he? How do you know? Does he wear glasses or something?

Martell graduated from high school. CJ graduated from college, and is still pursuing his non-basketball career.

Obviously, many intelligent people don't go to college for one reason or another, and many don't make it through to graduate. I don't know about Martell one way or the other.

Most of the time I read and ignore, but sometimes the particularly irritating posts prompt a response. I just can't help myself, I guess...

BGD is jaded because nobody here takes him seriously, so he lashes out through nonsensical snark.

Wow welcome to the club. :) Never thought you'd change those opinions.

Next is Stotts growing on you as a coach?

Oh great, now all the "The only real irony in the song 'Ironic' is the fact all its purported examples of irony aren't actually irony," people are going to come out of the woodwork.

I would be so pissed; it's be up there with PatterNash giving ZBo/Miles/Theo massive extensions.

To be fair, ZBO was worth the money. He's had a really solid career. Miles on the other hand......
