Yeah he might have ultimately got it but he had legit concerns on the court and off at the time. He wouldn't have been a free agent for another year, where he would've been a restricted free agent and we could've matched any offer. We didn't save money with him doing the deal early. All three extensions we're panic rush moves the team made. The Blazers did those moves to validate their previous decisions. They could say "look we have three players worth x y z dollars now so our previous moves were good." It was about selling season tickets and confirming your reputation in yourself not improving the team. Its an often repeated mistake among mid tier purgatory teams.

Wow, what an uniformed post. Martell was good guy with an extremely troubled past. His mom disappeared when he was 4. She was never found, but believed to have been a victim of the Green River killer. That's some serious shit for anyone to deal with. While it reflects in no way on any lack of intelligence, as a result, Martell had confidence issues that affected his play. You can't really blame him after the way he grew up, and it made me always root for him to succeed even after he left the Blazers.

Does C.J. seem like a guy who has confidence issues to you? If not, you need to knock off the bullshit comparisons.

I do this too, but I think it's hilarious that @Strenuus responds to so many of BGD's posts.

Yes? I'm no journalism major, but I'm pretty sure it makes sense. If he were saying he had been an editor since 1894, there would need to be another comma.

"I was a journalism major, and I also worked as an editor at The Brown and White, Lehigh’s student newspaper, since 1894."

    Honk once for Dame.

    Twice for CJ.

    Five times for both.

Not yet. His chance to change my opinion of him will come in the Playoffs. I have a sneaking suspicion that he'll confirm my current opinion, rather than change it. But I'm always open to changing an opinion if the evidence supports a change.
