This is the best Blazer team I have seen in my lifetime.

And this is where Trent comes in.

This was 1 of 72 games. Any team is beatable in a single regular season game. We will undoubtedly have more "quality wins" and "bad losses" just like the other 29 teams. I don't think beating the Lakers in December is proof we're in a good position to beat them come May.

Without doubt, this roster has more viable options than we had last year when we were rolling out Melo in the starting lineup and playing guys like Baze, Tolliver, Ant, Little, Gabriel, and Skal meaningful minutes. That's what is making you and others feeling more optimistic, I'm guessing.

We can hope that Stotts will allow this to be where Trent comes in but if Dame and CJ are our number one and two guys in minutes played regardless of the match up. We will have a ton of trouble against quite a few teams.

I'm actually not that optimistic about our chances against the second tier of teams in the league after the Lakers because almost all of them are more balanced than the Lakers are. I just think that the Lakers are a good match up for us. I may be wrong about everything but I'm more sure that we can beat the Lakers in a seven game than I would be against the Nuggets, Clippers, Mavs, Bucks, Nets or Celtics.

That's not going off of last night's performance or anything recent, that's purely what I think of teams (rosters and coaching) vs teams... like the way they match up instead of just overall talent level. Maybe I'm totally off and we could beat all of those other teams and we would get wrecked by the Lakers... maybe we can't beat any of these teams in a series. I can't be sure but I like the way our personnel matches up with the Lakers better than it does against any second tier team (if you see the Lakers as the only first tier team).

~^I like your points. Will you remember this game, if they turn cold and develop a losing streak? Too early to raise victory flags. I think the last time the Blazers had a 10 game winning streak was about 5 years ago (stat to search for). I'm cautious cause we never get to the alter where the crown is; The Blazers are more like a team that punts out of the arena in the first round. Now that is likely karma. giphyjamessbrown .gif JB sez; That's that...

From February 14th against the Warriors to March 18th against the Clippers we had 13 straight wins in 2018.

You may be right, but history has shown that top end talent usually trumps balance in the playoffs. I'm not sure why it would be different for us, but I suppose it possible!
