Matthews, Babbitt, Smith and a lottery pick is worth more than Iggy, IMO. Iggy's PER has gone down each season since 2007

What do you think will get it done?

I think that is what would get it done. I just think it's a bad deal for a Portland team that says it wants to compete for a title. It's great for a Portland team that wants to make it to the playoffs each year and lose in the early rounds though

See I disagree with that. If you get Igs; you have a much better "Wallace type" player with range. That means Batum can start at SG; which is another plus. Then if you are able to get a player like Nash (which I know you are against); you have your floor general that can make everyone around him much better and his lack of defense won't be as much as a problem; with Batum and Igs helping out on the defensive end. You resign Hickson and you can start him alongside Aldridge.

Basically, you would have a devastating starting 5 of: Nash, Batum, Igs, Hickson, and Aldridge. Use your higher draft pick (possibly #5-7 to get Beal) and you can get that Combo Guard OTF. Try and keep Flynn whom can learn from Nash. And you have a bench of Flynn, Beal, Craig Smith (Rhino), Pryzbilla, and Thomas. That's a 10 man rotation with a lot of talent. There is age at Center; but hopefully it wouldn't be a big deal.

We will simply have to agree to disagree.

I also refuse to think about having two lottery picks until it is official

That's fine... I guess I'm talking best case scenario. To you, I know you don't believe Nash is the best case scenario; but I'm fine with swapping him with Dragic, if that makes you feel better.

I think its a really important draft. We need another Aldridge/Roy type draft and not a Martell/Jack draft.
