What I am disputing is this season is 1 game old bro, you said 4 straight blown outs since when does the damn preseason matter. You sure don't act like someone that has covered a professionally before when guys want to even compare last year without Nurk and a bunch of injuries and then said the WCF was a fluke, cringe.

So once again I will ask this question and to you specifically since you know best and have covered a team professionally, what are the chances the Blazers win games even playing great D when Dame goes 4-12 and scores 9 points? Put some blame on the players for how they showed up game 1 smh

 

Next game will be Dame going for 60 and we will be close to win. But what's the point? We were very bad in assists for some time, this season will be very bad in reb too. ISO + no D. Dame +40=win. It would be 1game issue if we see changes = ball movement. "They are not use to such ball movement yet, give them time." That woul be fair. But Dame saying he wasn't expecting other team gonna trap him is a joke and constant ISO plays are even bigger joke.

 

Last year he know choice about the changes due to injuries. But with healthy roster he don't make big changes. He hasn't changed his offense or defense for years. He change his defense last year when he played Houston due to Harden but his base defense is the drop defense with his center. That's defense is find but you have stay home on the corners the problem is we suck everyone in and try get back to the 3 point line and that doesn't work.

Preseason games count when the first game of the season is a fucking copy pasta of the last three games, preseason or not. They played out EXACTLY THE SAME. So if you want to discount them simply because they don't count on our record, good for you.

Lastly, this team has more than enough talent to weather Dame playing badly. That wasn't the case in the past, but our coaching system is so shitty that we're minimizing the talents of the rest of the players on the team. Your understanding of the game.... cringe.

 

I think @Natebishop3 made some valid points and then has admitted that he was blowing off some steam and emotional about a performance that had us all livid.

 

I agree with some of what you said, I differ from everyone in here that says we'll be bad at rebounding because although RoCo doesn't have the numbers to show it he is great on the boards at tipping the ball to the guy who gets the rebound stat. As far as that quote from Dame goes it's not as stupid as everyone is making it out to be. Dame said that he didn't expect the trap to come that early and what I think he meant (which I don't think it takes a mind reader to decipher) is that defenses usually make Dame make a shot before the trap comes.

 

We'll see about that last point in the long run, if you look at the tape both RoCo and DJJ are excellent at cheating to help and getting back to their guy not giving them clean looks.

 

It's virtually all based on that season the Mavs shocked everyone by beating the Heatles. That season he had one of the best all time iso guys in Dirk and probably the best on court offensive genius of our time in Jason Kidd, along with a slew of other high IQ guys.
