"It's not Stotts' fault he doesn't have any defensive players."

He's had them the whole time. He's just not interested in playing them. Gabriel, Trent and Little were planted on the bench while Tolliver, Hezonja and Bazemore were playing.

    It's name is Allien-le-Vieux
It's in France actually. They are pretty much still living in the 1800's other than cars that drive through.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
We're all just embedded memories of personalities, in the end. In the long view, which ones are alive or dead at this moment is kind of irrelevant.

If Dame died tonight I’d venture that most of us would think that is more relevant than irrelevant.

Than again, as an irrelevant embedded memory, my opinion probably has no relevance.

thats irrevelant to the topic at hand. However your post in its own was relevant to another conversation going on in an irrevelant thread.

so your post does have some relevance on some irrelevant scale

Yeah, without Melo we actually do look like the deepest team in the league... with a pretty damn good starting lineup. Then when Zach comes back it might be time to ask Melo to retire.

Thank you overly emotional people on team forums like the poster who started this thread. I’ll assume the poster is a high school student who loves the Blazers, and well done!

    Unscripted internetainment at its best.

I think even a high schooler could spell entertainment.

“Internet-ainment” helps? Online entertainment new word. Combines internet and entertainment.

I’ll eat crow the remainder of the year as long as I see the energy and effort we saw against the Lakers in the rest of our games. The defensive effort was palpable and the Blazers fed off of it. You could tell once the Blazers punched the Lakers in the mouth they didn’t have an answer.

This thread was doomed for greatness from the second the title was written.

Sure, there may be multiple times this season where things are going poorly where some might argue once again and that this assessment is accurate.

I mean... if people can't see a clear difference with this team without Melo, I don't know what to tell you.

    Another key factor:

Game 1 against the Jazz - CJ with 3 assists.

Game 2 against the Rockets - CJ with 8 assists

Game 3 against the Lakers - CJ with 11 assists.

Clearly CJ has owned up to the fact that he was playing a huge part in the selfish basketball on the second team. This is the most unselfish I have seen him play (without Dame) in his career.

It's only 3 games, and early stats are always misleading, but CJ is averaging more assists per game than Dame up this point.

The stupid thing is that basketball should start keeping track of assists the same way that hockey does. How many times does Dame find a guy who then immediately finds another guy who scores? But Dame gets nothing.
