No, because 5 out of our 6 losses have been by 15 or more points. Lillard will be exhausted after about 25 games. Not only does that not amount to a 50 win team, it's not a playoff team.

Superteam is when you take 3 of the Top 10 players in the league and put them on same team. Like if LeBron got AD and Kawhi. There were no superteams in 1977.

We’ve also had some blowouts in our favor. You have to look at the whole picture. We’ve already had 2 wins where Dame didn’t have to play in 4th qtr.

Look at the picture right in front of you: Dame is nearly exhausted already .

So just to recap, in the 5 losses to teams at .500 or above, we have been outscored 621-518.

Those five losses were an average score of 124 - 103.

And then if you look at the blown 20 point lead against Chicago to lose by 3, it might as well be a 20+ loss.

End of his prime, actually. However, take out our 2nd and 3rd best player, allowing teams to focus on him, and you shouldn't expect him bring us to a Championship level.

Portland's overall point differential so far is 0.5 (points per game), which is 13th in the NBA. That amounts to a 42 win team or so over the course of an 82 game season.

Because we have played some marshmallow teams, but as we continue to play teams that are playoff caliber, our differential is going to tank, as shown with my numbers.

Everyone plays some marshmallow teams, throughout the year. Portland hasn't played a notably easy schedule...the combined winning percentage of their opponents thus far is .504 and it's 14th in the NBA. That's as close to average as you could expect and basically what you'd project for the rest of an 82 game schedule--roughly an average schedule.

So unless they get worse, their point differential isn't likely to tank. So far they've played like an average team against an average schedule. They're probably an average team.

Oh, it looks like my link only has them at 13 games played, so didn't count their latest game.

Still, the fact that it's bouncing from slightly above average to slightly below probably still suggests that they're approximately an average team. That was my main take-away, that they're not a "50 win team" in a normal season.

Have you ever seen a blazer team get so thoroughly man handled in every single loss?

teams focus on Dame even when Portland to completely healthy. That's been the problem...no other Blazer has done enough to take that focus off Dame

as for players being out....well yeah, that's happening regularly with the Blazers. Happens with just about all teams, but Portland gets derailed by it too easily.

I've seen lots of teams suffer a bunch of beatdowns when they lose. over a short stretch, even decent teams. The fact that they're maintaining a roughly average point differential over a roughly average schedule is what really speaks to their (average) quality.

If they were a terrible team, they'd have a really bad point differential. There have been many Blazers teams with worse point differentials.

Philly and the Lakers both were stacked with all star talent and the consensus run away fav's. For that time in roundball they were super teams.
    Look at the rosters....

He def not at end. I think Lillard can have 5 years of top prime his scoring might go down a little in couple of years nevertheless he be a beast. Lillard provides so many wide open looks for 3. His team mates brick them

This is the most talented roster since Sheed was on the Blazers. I've never had this much talent to work with, and I have no idea how to work with it. I'm in way over my head, guys!
