Breaking news? I knew you had a baby on the way but had you announced it was a girl?

Not really, a couple knew. We literally just found out this morning. I was pretty sure this one had to be a boy. I mean I know probability doesnt work that way but thats a lot of PMS to deal with in 12 years or so...

Congrats! We thought my wife was pregnant with a girl a few years ago because she felt so different from the first pregnancy. Turned out to be twin boys.

I read the same story....mentioned him flying back alone and being pissed at Batum for mailing it in ...it was an editorial and I can't remember which hack wrote it but still...that was the narrative at the time....right after that we traded Nico thinking we could still keep LA happy

Actually, John Lukrofka was around them a lot. Maybe it's that guy's fault.

John knows a lot about the Blazers players over the years...he's just confused between Russell Westbrook and the Lakers....choices

if anybody mailed it in during the playoffs that year it was Aldridge. He played like somebody with one foot already out the door

that team just seemed to fall apart when Matthews got injured

I think that story about Batum is BS. It was pretty clear that even before the Blazers traded Batum away they knew Aldridge was leaving. I mean, Kim Hughes knew and blabbed about it right around the time Batum was traded. I'm sure Olshey knew long before then

    Agree with you here.

Somewhat disagree with you here. The reasoning behind everything is not mutually exclusive. I dont believe that its "either/or", but an "and" issue.

Aldridge did mail it in during the playoffs. He did have one foot out the door. He gave up on the team...

Why? I think part of it was some friction between Batum, Matthews, & Aldridge. LMA said it wasn't an issue between Dame & him, but the guys around us.

I remember some rumors leaking out that Matthews had an attitude problem & was thinking that he was better than he was & being a big jerk about it.

Batum was always very inconsistent & it can appear that he's not giving full effort.

And yes, Neil & the organization knew it was very likely (90%) LMA would leave, however Neil was holding out on that 10% chance that he re-signs. If that were the case, the Batum trade makes total sense. Get rid of the friction (Batum trade & leting Matthews walk) & hope LMA changes his mind. If not, you get a replacement PF.

I generally take people at their word, unless there is an obvious agenda or unless they're a complete a-hole. LMAs statement about being the 'greatest Blazer of all time' reeked with an agenda. And LMA is not an a-hole (yes, hes moody and sensitive -but thats a different issue).

I have a grandkid that is older than yours by a fair amount. He's going to be 21 years old in a couple weeks and Lanny and SPD both met him years ago. My youngest grandkid is 4 years old with my middle one going into high school next year.

Yikes, yes. I have a 16 year old who is graduating early (makes me sad), 10, almost 7, and just 5. About to take these dorks roller skating.
