Here's a little more about Lionel Hollins. http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/20...state-warriors-coach-candidate-lionel-hollins
Why, Thank You, Hobbs. So he is a very good defensive coach. Still think he won't have to settle with an assistant position at the end of the day.
And that's where some of us disagree. This season was a success and I am not losing any sleep over getting bumped by the Spurs. The problem is that there is no step 2. The current roster has flaws - no sensible person can deny that. The team has no draft pick, minimal cap flexibility, and little to no trade assets. How does it get better?
Olshey made the moves to take this team from the lottery to the 2nd round of the playoffs in one season. Why not relax a little and see what he does this off season.
The good news is we finally have resolution on the Charlotte Hornets pick. We can start trading future first rounders again.
Agree with this. Don't think Mr. Allen and Olshey doesn't have a plan. Whatever they do, I think McCollum is part of that plan.
Yes, Olshey kept talking about how he was gathering assets to trade later. Well later is coming up soon, so we'll see what pieces he can add together to consolidate a better bench!
I think we'll be fine. We need to pick up a player or two in the off-season and develop a couple of our current bench players. A little more focus on defense would be nice too.
tlong, you stay here and play with your friends a lil while longer. But we expect you back home shinin' shoes by the start of Game 3. Love, Spurstalk xoxoxo
The main job for Olshey this summer is to not panic by shaking this team up too much, and also keep it moving forward in terms of progress towards a title. I'm not talking about "letting the cake bake". We can afford to add a MLE guy which should be a 6th man caliber which will make us better. We can also keep guys like CJ, Leonard, Crabbe and Barton and see if they can take progressive steps. CJ in particular should.
I think summer league will be a good window into who has improved and who has stayed the same. I'm expecting big things from CJ and Robinson.
The thing is we can go into the season with FA additions not trade changes, evaluate the progress of guys then make tweaks if needed.
I still think Wes and Nic are too similar in that they're both streaky. I'm fine with one of them being streaky, but both of them being streaky has really hurt us at times.
I agree. As long as Aldridge-Lillard is our 1-2 punch, we get no better. We need a league star. Payton is stupid. Not smart enough to coach.
