It happens all the time.. coaches and GM's miss scout a player and do not draft them.

There were over a dozen GM's who passed on Clyde..... including several coaches

How many passed on Paxson? McHale? Parrish? Barkley? Moses Malone? Jeff Hornicek?
The list can grow by leaps and bounds

A_am was pretty impressive in college. I do not think many thought he woud be such a huge a bust as he is now

Nate knows his offense is perfect for slow white players.

Why you guys picking on Mediocre? He's just a high school bball coach. It's not like he ever said he could outcoach McMillan or anything.

Adam Morrison: 1 Championship, all star appearances: 0
Brandon Roy: 0 Championship, all star appearances: 3

    That pretty much explains it.

All star appearances don't win championships.

    Sitting on the bench does.

    Oh yea mustaches help too.

Oh ya, I was a huge Roy hater.

In my defense, both Gay and Aldridge have been soild.

Also keep in mind most of you think I have no idea what I am talking about, and I agreed with Nate.

So maybe we can cool down the "Other person doesnt know talent" when you made the exact same mistake?

As I said in the edit. If you want a coach that knows as much as me about talent then great.

But the problem is you always make it out like you know more than Nate.

How many times have you used your high school basketball experience to prove you know more about basketball than Nate?

Not that I don't enjoy your posts . . . but on this thread you kind of got nailed.

also keep in mind that Nate wasn't posting his opinion on a message board... he was blowing sunshine up a prospect's patoot which is whats expected from a coach regardless of how he really feels about their pro potential. What do you expect him to tell the kid... you're slow, won't be able to create your shot or defend, and will be a colossal bust if anyone is stupid enough to pick you in the lotto?

Has Nate has ever gone to the press with anything but glowing comments about a prospect? For a NBA coach, being outwardly PC in your comments seems part the game. Posters on a chatsite aren't bound by concerns of what the public might think and are free to make an ass of themselves
