I see mentions of the violence in Chicago all the time. Granted, msn.com had an article on its front page on Monday this week. Something like 30-40 people shot in Chicago this past week alone, with like 10 fatally. Articles like that re: Chicago are a frequent occurrence on msn.com. I see them several times per year referencing maybe 5-8 separate but extremely violent weekends. I'd say maybe some folks are uninformed, but that alone doesn't make them assholes. You cannot possibly be up to everything going on in this world. If you are, you probably have way too much free time. But it's why I often say what I know and don't staunchly push it out there as complete fact. Cuz for everything I do know, I know there's far more shit I don't know (or only know a small piece of the picture).
I just don't get why I'm suddenly the asshole now. At least you can properly have a response to me. Wasn't aware it appeared on msn. I guess I think it should be more talked about, we have too many dying, too many homeless with mental issues in our own backyard. Feel as if we need to take care of our own people I guess
Totally agree on taking care of our own. We spend too much on helping those outside of our orders (helping is great, but let's not neglect those on American soil, too). I'm not calling you, or anyone, an asshole. I'm shocked daily when I scour the web (including S2) and find all sorts of things helping here in the US (and globally) that I know nothing about. There's simply too much drama to know it all. I try not to live in my own little bubble, but anyone who says they aren't mostly focused on their own little bubble (especially with a family and career) is a liar.
It's all good, I hadn't had my coffee yet this morning and was grumpier than I usually am... But I did think of a different way to explain what I meant a little better. While both are human, extremely handy with tools, and experts in complex machines you wouldn't ask your auto mechanic to perform heart surgery. While some of the mechanics opinions might be correct about the human body and how the heart works, he's still almost completely ignorant about the reality of performing surgery so his opinions are going to matter a whole lot less than a cardiologist who has actual experience.

When I listen to Public Enemy and they talk about Farrakhan and not judging until "you hear the man"........ I don't. But I don't wanna hear him either. I just don't judge. I have 40 rock albums on my phone with Johnny Cash, Bill Withers and Ray Charles mixed in. Not a rap fan by any stretch. Public Enemy has a message you can feel.

It comes down to this. History cant be changed and there is no way to ever make right the atrocities that many euro-white immigrants caused the last few hundred years with the damn near extinction of the Native American, the slavery of the Chinese and Africans, and the oppression of any other race they deemed inferior. There is nothing that can fix it or make it right... except two things. 1. Forgiveness. Other races have to forgive "Whites", even though most "Whites" today are disgusted by our ancestors actions. We can't change the past. We can only move forward and try to treat each individual with the same respect we would like to be treated our selves. 2. Stop Enabling Every "White" person MUST speak up when you see someone else disrespecting other ethnicities due to their race. Put a stop to it. Don't stand there and let it happen or you are just the bank robbers getaway car. An enabler. Until this light bulb turns on in the majority of peoples' minds and creates a wave of kindness that spreads the globe, we won't get anywhere with this bullshit
