I'm relaying information given by multiple media sources. That's not "making things up". Sorry I hurt your feelings. ;)

Now, back to the snark routine!

You're relying on multiple media sources that are making shit up. Not one article I've read has done anything more than offer conjecture that Paul Allen and the Vulcans are jealous of KP's hero status with the local fanbase and media. My own guess is that there's more to it than that. My guess is that Paul Allen got a serious dose of mortality this year, realized that he may not have that much longer to realize his longtime dream of winning an NBA title and began to question whether KP is the guy that can get the team over the top in a reasonable time period. KP may have oversold his ability to get a good player for RLEC, and when that didn't turn out, may have made promises he couldn't ultimately keep to PA of getting an impact player for last summer's cap space, only to have the Miles fiasco blow up in his face. There's probably more. Guessing is fun, but lets just be clear about when we're doing it.

"You don't know what you're talking about, so instead of letting it go, I'll offer my own worthless speculation that proves I don't know what I'm talking about, either."

That was essentially your post. Thanks for sharing it.

Still wondering how Raef LaFrentz plays into this, considering keeping him saved Paul Allen over $10 million last year.

Like you care. You're supposedly a bright guy, and they're already on this board. Do I get paid to be a caddy for a mod?

So, if that's your guess, why isn't Nate the one on the hot seat? Pritchard may not be perfect, but the roster he's assembled has done more to improve this team than anything Nate has done. Or, does Paul Allen think a coach who has won one play-off series in 10 years as a head coach, barely has a winning regular season record (0.509) and a losing post season record (0.429) is the coach to take this team to the next level, and do it quickly? If Paul Allen is really in a desperate win-now mode, Nate should be the one on the hot seat, not Pritchard.

Yes, you get paid to be a caddy for a mod. Specifically, this caddy (note the location: council crest):

But yes, I'd be interested to see any link that is anything but random speculation to back up your statements.

I think Nate is on the hot seat. His seat might not be quite as hot as KP's, but it is hot. See complete turnover of asst coaches.

Absolutely. That's why Vulcan has demanded some more experienced assistant(s). I mean, everyone knows Phil Jackson would be nowhere without Tex Winter. ;)

This entire board is random speculation. My belief is that Paul Allen is an insecure manchild who needs people more competent than him to give him accolades for things he isn't even remotely involved with other than saying yes or no. This post is my link for proof of my opinion.

Do you even have opinions, or do you just use snark as some sort of low-level defense mechanism?

What makes you think he isn't? Do you really think he just decided to dump Demopolous and Prunty and bring in a seasoned former head coach to back him up on a whim or because he suddenly doesn't trust in his own abilities? IMHO, that has the fingerprints of PA and the Vulcans all over it. I think if the Blazers don't make it out of the first round next season, Nate's history.

Yeah, pretty much. At least I'm making it clear when I'm offering an opinion or a guess as opposed to stating unsourced crap as fact.

No problem. Glad to do it.

PA's never shown any hesitation about spending money when it's going to make the team better. I don't think it was not using RLEC alone that may have PA's shorts in a twist, I think it was not getting more for all of the planned cap space last summer than a solid PG with two years left in his tank.

    But that's just a guess.

I have opinions. My opinion is that your opinion is unfounded.

Truth is, nobody here knows why KP is in dutch. I don't. You don't. You are certainly welcome to your opinion on the subject, and stated as such, I have no problem with it whatsoever. It's when you state it as if it were fact that I object. Maybe it was clear that it was just your opinion. If so, I misread your post. If so, a trillion apologies.

So ... which free agents from last summer made a bigger impact on their new team than Andre Miller made on the Blazers? We had one summer of cap space. It happened to be during the worst FA class in recent memory. Still, after losing 300 games to injury, the GM managed to put together a team that still won 50 games.

I feel confident defending Pritchard. All I see from the anti-Pritchard crowd, the people like you, is attacking posters and then offering your own speculation. What is your track record as a GM?

What makes me think Nate isn't on the hot seat? Exactly what you just wrote. Nate gets another year, and if he fails to make it out of the 1st round for the third consecutive season, then he might get fired? He should have been fired IMMEDIATELY after getting TOTALLY outcoached by Alvin Gentry.

But no, he gets another year to prove he's not the right coach to take this team to the next level, but Pritchard is supposedly gone after the draft. Why does Nate get a longer leash than Pritchard? That is, assuming Pritchard is being let go for performance reasons. If he's not, this is one fucked up organization.
