It seems very likely that Robinson's rebounding could get even better for us. He was the best rebounder coming into the 2012 draft (it says here). Interestingly, he wasn't a good offensive rebounder (UNlike Hickson), and he wasn't a good shotblocker, despite that wingspan, but maybe that was Withey's job.
HERE WE GO HOUSTON, HERE WE GO! (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap) Stupid optimism getting me all hopeful ...
You have to consider the offensive side of the ball here. Thomas Robinson can really only do one thing above average, and that's dunk. After that it gets pretty shaky, and it showed in his FG% last season. Hickson shot 56% last year and we all saw that he has a nice overall offensive game. I want Robinson to succeed, but Idk if he'll be better than Hickson.
Robinson was a much better defender than Hickson was in college, so if nothing else that end of the floor will be better. He also put up better per 36 numbers than Hickson did in Sacramento if that means anything? 9/10/1 vs 11/11/1
Yeah, I hear you. That's why I said "purely in terms of rebounding." He's going to be a much worse offensive player, and hopefully slightly better on defense (hopefully his inexperience isn't matched by Hickson's utter incompetence). I think it's going to be a couple years before we really know what we have with Robinson. Hope we're more patient than Sactown and Houston.
Free Samples at Safeway! Sample Person: Have a piece of pie. It's home made and tastes great! RoyToy: Pffft, I wanted cake and that piece of pie doesn't even have any ice cream on it. Sample Person: So you don't want the piece of pie??? [RoyToy takes piece of pie and eyes worker menacingly]
You forgot where he eats the pie, enjoys it but tries his best not to, even asking, "Are these organic? Doesn't taste organic." Then tells the sample person that he was right, he wanted to cake.
Good second link. Reminds me of Udoku losing his father during Blazer preseason, while he tried so hard to make the team. Also, today I think is the 20th anniversary of Brian Shaw losing his parents and sister.
The same article says that Robinson, with KU money backing him, is trying in court to take custody of his little sister from her father, who is not Robinson's father and spent time in jail for possession. Let the father keep his child.
Depends on the father's current situation. I've read nothing on this, so I plead ignorance. But I've seen enough of these types of situations first-hand to understand that biology and environment are equally important. Don't send the child to an unstable home. Beyond that, a parent is more probable to gain custody than a sibling. Just my $0.02 based on experience. If the dad is clean and responsible, there's no reason he shouldn't gain custody.
Exactly zero of the bolded were asked to be primary scorers playing at center. It's not so much the offensive, end, but on defense where playing center saps energy. Hell, Bosh scored zero points in Game 7.
You're the most colossal troll on this board. Just yesterday it was, "I don't know how you couldn't like this deal?"
Then you don't see the money that Kansas U. backers spent on lawyers, and that Robinson now has to spend.
Haha! Yeah, Zags seems like a binary thinker. Check this one out... http://sportstwo.com/threads/239856-Aaron-Brooks-Vet-Minimum-3rd-PG?p=3045813&viewfull=1#post3045813
Yet you're the one who lacks reading comprehension, and calls out other posters for making logical posts that you can't comprehend.
I think me and Zags could beat up Papa and that dork RoyToy. We should all go out for a beer! Sent from my baller ass iPad FAMS!
Then there has to be more to it. Like maybe the dad is unfit. I'd be cool with that explanation. But if he's now settled, responsible, takes care of her like a dad should, why shouldn't he have custody? That's all I'm saying. Thomas shouldn't have her just cuz he has more money.
Isn't John Kerry a Democrat? The most notorious flip-flipper of all? I'm just asking. It makes his comment a wee bit off.
