Who is better in this stage of their careers? Who would you rather have and why? I can't believe I'm asking the question. To me it's a no brainer. But his inconsistent, erratic play prompted me to ask the question. Asking more to see where you are feelings are with him. So, who do you have?
I liked Mark Bryant. Perfect backup for Buck. I think he's an assistant coach somewhere in the NBA now.
2nd season in... Mark Bryant, 24 YO: PER 9.1. #'s per 36, 10.8pts and 9.4rebs Thomas Robinson 22 YO: PER 15.2, #'s per 36, 16.7pts and 11.6rebs Just stats wise... Robinson. And for the heck of it, 2nd year in what had Mark Bryant done to prove himself?
The eyeball test is a bit tough since it's been 24 years since Bryants 2nd year.... But from my recollection the eyeball test Bryant is the better guy if you are looking for a mechanical steady but nothing remarkable guy. Robinson on the other hand has the physical tools to be very good NBA player. How good is hard to tell, Starter talent, yes, all star calibre, not likely. It all dpends on if things start to click with him. He looks like a guy who just needs a little more seasoning to start to figure things out. Frankly Leonard is similar in that regard. Good physical tools just needs to figure things out.
At this stage in their careers, TRob. Mark Bryant has been out of the league for years. He's way too old.
I have a game worn autographed Mark Bryant warm up suit for sale. Let me know if anyone is interested in it. Pretty badass. My vote is Bryant clearly
First of all, welcome Dparrjr! You should post that for sale here: http://sportstwo.com/forums/560-Denny-s-List
I seem to remember Adelman benching him because he wasn't giving full effort in garbage time in one game.
